Missing? W@tcher Grian AU

Nightmares

      Mumbo and Ren made it to a nice spot to eat there lunch. Ren had a pork chop and Mumbo had some steak. They weren't really hungry at the moment to they just sat there awkwardly.

"So," Ren said to start some conversation, "how's your mega base going?" Mumbo sighed, "I'm not particularly happy about it at the moment. But I don't know what to do about that." Ren smiled, "I'm sure it'll come to you. It always does."

Mumbo then felt his pocket vibrate. He took out his communicator. There was a message from Scar. All it said was, "Any update on Grian?" Mumbo wasn't sure where Grian was but he was active on his communicator. Mumbo told Scar what he knew, "He sent a message to Ren saying he was sick." Then Mumbo set his phone down.

    "Weird for Grian to just leave like that right? I mean he didn't even say Good morning to me like he usually does." Mumbo said. Ren, who was finishing off his pork chop nodded in agreement, "Yea, hopefully he's okay. It didn't sound serious with what he sent."

     Mumbo and Ren them finished there lunch and went there separate ways. Mumbo then flew back to his base. On his way, he noticed Scar had built something new. He didn't know where Scar was at the moment but he seemed pretty set on finding Grian.

     He looked up the tall building and noticed a window had shattered. "That's odd." Mumbo said to himself. He flew up to where the window had shattered and then he froze.

His eyes and followed the bits of glass all the way to Scar who was asleep in a Watchers clutches. The Watcher was knocked out too. Despite not seeing Grian or any of the hermits for almost a year, that was most CERTAINLY Grian.

Mumbo was in utter shock. He noticed Scar starting to wake up. Mumbo jumped out of the window and ran as quickly as possible. He didn't know what to think.

Mumbo was obviously upset Grian was a... he couldn't even think the word to himself. But he was also upset he trusted Scar with his secret before he trusted him.

Why were Grian and Scar keeping secrets from him? Especially ones this big. Mumbo would've accepted Grian for who he was if he had just told him.

He hadn't even realized he had ran all the way to the arch way connecting Grian and Scars base. Grian and Scar. The iconic duo had always been Grian and Mumbo. Mumbo felt his eyes water when he realized he'd been almost replaced by Scar.

Him and Grian had hanged out almost every day, now they only have actual conversations like once a week at most, aside from the three of them enjoying breakfast.

Mumbo had almost forgotten the situation at hand, Grian's a Watcher. Shivers went down his spine. He'd done his research on Watchers, they were bad apples.

What if Grian hadn't told Scar? Most Watchers are terrible creatures that have no feeling for mortals. "I have to help Scar incase Grian's gone crazy." Mumbo said to himself.

He turned around and shot up with a rocket. When he landed back in Scars building nobody was even in there. "Did Grian take Scar?" Mumbo said almost hurt.

Then Mumbo heard something and the moment he turned around he was hit by something. He wasn't sure what but it knocked him out cold.

Grian felt like he was nowhere. He tried to move but he couldn't. He couldn't do anything, but think. He heard voices, familiar voices. "What are we going to do?" He heard one voice say. "There's nothing we can do but keep him alive." The other voice responded.

Grian then realized who was there, Cub and Scar. What do they mean by keep him alive? What was going on? He felt alive. Was he dead? He tried to move, nothing. He felt trapped in his own body. The more he struggled, the more he panicked, the harder it became to recognize the world around him. He felt his heartbeat speed up. Then he heard a long continuous beeeeepp. Then he wasn't the only one panicking.
