I've been up for hours... I can barely close my eyes without a million thoughts appearing in my mind. And they're all about Link and his little diary..
Why does he need a diary anyway? What secret is so sensitive that you need to lock it in a fucking cabinet?! Honestly though, its annoying! No one wants to know your secrets anyway...

But I suppose I'm not one to talk, I did snoop through his diary.. but.. but it was sort of his fault for leaving it out!...
Its only been 3 days after that night. And I'm already starting to get tempted to take another look. Maybe I do want to know his secrets.. but who wouldn't? He's so... mysterious.

The thoughts start getting to my head, should I check to see if he locked the cabinet?

Next thing I know I'm creeping down next to his bed, testing the actual security of his book.

Locked.

Maybe I should just accept that its locked and go to bed.. I wouldn't want to break Link's trust AGAIN would I..?
As I slowly get up to make my way back to my hammock a glint of something metallic catches my eye. I've always liked shiny things, and the key lying in the palm of Link's hand had that extra shimmer that made a reflective beam in the moonlight.

Should I..? No.. its far too risky. Its in his right hand, and he's on the left side of the bed. Meaning I would quite literally have to be climbing on the bed to grab the key. And is a few secrets being spilled really important enough to jeopardize Link's trust which is already in need of rebuilding?! Its shameful that I'm even thinking about doing it...

I make the wise decision to try and ignore the key and fall asleep. But I never did fall asleep.

"Its nearly been an hour.." I whisper to myself.
I want that key. Even if it didn't open that lock, I would still want that key. It shimmers and shines and I must have it for my nest...(TOH reference 😏)

Next thing I know I'm silently walking back towards his bed. Why don't I have any willpower..?

I have to do this RIGHT. Hylia knows what will happen if I scare him awake.. maybe I don't have to get on the mattress, maybe I can try reaching for it?..
Just short.. I begin to get frustrated, really? I'm only a couple inches short from the key why can't he just move or something?!

"*sigh*... I'm the most sneaky, skilled, and agile person in all of Hyrule. Stealing a measly little key is light work for the great Revali.." I whisper to myself.

I start to creep forward from the edge of the mattress, Hylia this is awkward... he must be in a deep sleep.
I'm close enough to grab the key, I reach my wing out to snatch the key, so.. close...

*shing!*

The tip of a blade just barely grazes my beak.
Shit shit SHIT. He woke up! And has a blade pointed right at my face. God FUCKING DAMMIT.
The startled yet infuriated look on his face soon changes to surprise and confusion. In a tired but alert voice he says,

"R-Revali..? What are you doing-....?"

I guess he must've just realized the position we are in.. and I think I just noticed too... I'm quite literally ON TOP OF HIM.
His voice becomes more shaky.

"... I-..." A warm blush creeps on his face as he lowers the blade...
What the hell am I still doing on him?! I want to get off, but I feel frozen.

The akward silence only lasts for a second more before I get my stupid self away from him.
