Anya's men who had been sent to look around Feathered Serpent City returned with information that the city was quiet, the gate was closed and there didn't appear to be any emergency situation. People in the towns around the city had also said that they had seen residents coming out to buy and exchange items, but when people asked what the loud noises and gunshots were about, the residents were silent.

Anya decided to ask Todd to escort Zhang Xun and the others across the US-Mexico border.

Todd almost exploded on the spot when he heard it, "Are you crazy? Are you really going to listen to their nonsense?"

"It's probably not nonsense......" Anya sighed and said, "I've been checking with some old acquaintances and they say that the shield system in Lost Paradise has been changing in the last few days, it has been turning on and off and not working properly. "Provided he's not lying......" Todd couldn't talk his sister out of it and could only say indignantly.

Anya stood up and walked over to her brother, shoving a white square object the size of a quail's egg into his hand, "That's why I'm asking you to follow them, to get to know these people and to find out what's going on in Feathered Serpent City. I know this mission is risky, but you're the person I trust the most. If you're in any danger once you enter the city, crush this thing. It will emit an electromagnetic pulse signal strong enough to penetrate the barriers of Feathered Serpent City and will be detected by us here. We'll find a way to get you out immediately."

"...... Did you get this toy from the black market?" Todd looked distrustfully at the cube in his palm.

"If you haven't sent someone back with a message three days after entering the city, I'll also bring people straight to Feathered Serpent City." A hard, sharp glint suffused Anya's upturned eyes, "I've sent someone to contact our allies, when the time comes we won't be fighting alone."
