𝕎𝕙𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕣𝕖- Your name is Riya Yung (Rye-yah Young), and you are a soon-to-be God. You are friends with Jacqui Briggs and Cassie Cage, and you fight with them. You are very powerful and have taken the role of the chosen female. Liu Kang is still the chosen of the male gender.

ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕩𝕥- Ever since watching you fight Scorpion and Sub Zero, Liu Kang has taken a liking to you. His best friend, Kung Lao, jokes with him saying that you are way out of his league. Are you?

𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕝𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖- Pic up top

𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕡𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕤- You know Wanda Maximoff? I'm not mixing Marvel with Mortal Kombat, but I'm not creative, so you have her and her brother Pietro's powers. Telekinesis, energy manipulation, and some form of neuroelectric interfacing allow her to both read thoughts and also give her targets waking nightmares, and super speed. But, your powers are the color purple.

𝔹𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪- Your grandfather, Ermac, killed your father in a battle. He tried to kill you, too but was stopped by Raiden and Jax Briggs. Those two, along with Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage have been taking care of you ever since then. Kenshi took you in and raised you as his own when you were 10 years old. You are now 22 and Liu Kang is 24.

"Now, stay out of my home," she growled as she defeated Scorpion and Sub Zero.

My best friend, Kung Lao, and I, Liu Kang, were watching Raiden's new champion fight. What she doesn't know, is this fight is a test to see how powerful she is. This is Riya Yung. She has the power of energy manipulation, and telekinesis, can give her targets walking nightmares, and can read minds. She's very powerful- as powerful as any Elder God.

"Woah," I gasped, "she's..."

"Way out of your league," Kung Lao finished for me as he slung his arm around my shoulders. Curse him for always knowing what I am thinking.

I chuckled, "Kung Lao, I wasn't even going to say that. I was going to say she's an amazing fighter."

"Sure, sure," Kung Lao said, not believing anything I said.

I roll my eyes, playfully, of course. We stand behind Raiden, and next to Sub Zero and Scorpion, as Raiden calls us. I wasn't paying attention to anything that was being said, I was too busy staring at Riya. I snapped back to reality once I felt Kung Lao nudge me.

"So, this was all just a test?!" Riya asked in disbelief.

"Yes, Ms. Yung," Raiden answered, "it was a test to see if you are worthy to be one of my champions."

"So, you want me to leave my home- my family and friends, the place I grew up, the only one I know, to come fight for you? When I could just stay here and keep fighting alongside my friends."

"I'm sorry, Ms. Yung, but that's how it's got to be," Scorpion spoke up.

She takes a couple of steps back, "I'm so sorry, Raiden, but I really can't do that. I'm sorry."

She quickly walks away. Raiden sighs then turns around, "Liu Kang."

"Yes, Raiden?" I asked.

"I need you to speak with her. Convince her to join us."

"Yes, Raiden," I nodded.

I smiled at the chance I got to speak with her. I walked in the direction she went and tried my best to find her. As I walked past Jax Briggs and Johnny Cage I smiled and they waved. I saw Riya near the lake speaking to Cassie and Jacqui. I approached them with a smile. Once she saw me, Riya's eyes widened and she looked away.

"Hello, Cassie and Jacqui," I greeted them.

"Hey, Liu Kang," They responded in unison.

"Do you mind if I speak to Ms. Yung?"

Cassie nodded and said to Riya, "We'll be with our dads if you need us."

Riya sighed and slid over so I could sit next to her on the bench. I looked at the water. I admired the sun's reflection on the water and the geese that were floating. Then I turned and admired her. She had beautiful, wavy, light brown hair and dark purple eyes.

I decided to speak up, "I'm Liu Kang."

"I'm not joining you," she snapped

"And I respect that. I understand you don't want to leave your friends, but we need your help defending the Earth realm. Without your assistance, something evil could take over and destroy the place you know and love."

She sighed, so I continued, "Please join us. You can come back and visit any time you want. You can live down here. You're not going to leave."

"And what if the people down here need my assistance in battle?"

"Then you come down and help. No one's stopping you from staying down here. We just sometimes need you to help us. We do need you to stay with us to train for a couple of months," I put my hand on her shoulder, "Can you do that?"

She sighed, then smiled slightly, "I can do that."

I chuckled in relief, "Then, let's return to Raiden. Shall we?"

I held my arm out to her and she hooked her arm with mine. We made small talk on the way back to Raiden. She was funny and interesting. She's like Kung Lao, but a girl. We found Raiden speaking to Johnny Cage.

"Raiden," I called.

He turned around and smiled when he saw Riya.

"I'm sorry for before," she apologized, "I assumed you wanted me to leave my home forever. Liu Kang helped me see that wasn't the case. If it's still available, I'd like to take you up on that offer of becoming one of your champions."

"Of course it's available," Raiden chuckles, "we'd love to have you. Pack a bag of things you might need for the next two months."

She nodded and walked away, Jacqui and Cassie were following closely behind.

"Liu Kang!" I turned to see Kung Lao sprinting to me, "I was wrong."

"About what?" I tilted my head in confusion.

"She's not out of your league, you guys are perfect for each other," Kung Lao laughed as I shoved him.

"Whatever, man," I chuckled.

I slung my arm around Kung Lao's shoulders and we walked to Sub Zero and Scorpion. Ready to return to the dojo.
