It's like I knew I had a writer's BLOCK , but then I still CONTINUED to WRITE this chapter. *sighs shaking her head with hand on her forehead *

So I apologize in ADVANCE , if it's trash or DOESN'T MAKE SENSE .

ACUMA MAAKE KANCUBE
-------------------------------

It's almost been 5 hours and I've been debating for my role as Head girl.

And of course I have the leading score but my competitor, is Asakhe Mfaku. The teachers pet and top achiever girl in Grade 11.

Her parents practically run the school. They part of the SGB, they fundraise all our sport or school events oh and, she's the principals niece so there's a chance I don't be crowned head girl of Glendale High.

We are both standing next to Principal Anderson. And in front Senkosi (current head girl), Luyolo, the SGB and a few candidates that lost in their debating, so they got taken out of the nomination.

"Ladies, you both have the passion, leadership and dedication for the role of headgirl, at Glendale high school. And if we could have two female leaders at school trust me, we would. But unfortunately we have to choose one between the two of you." Mr Anderson announces on the mic.

Asakhe and I aren't going to be debating, instead...the whole of next week we will be having an election week. Meaning we'll be trying to get as many votes as we can from people around the school by selling all sorts of stuff or helping out wherever you can so people can see we're serious and blah, blah blah you already get it.

"Next week Friday, everyone will vote for their 2024 headgirl. This gives you a chance to try convince teachers and learners why they should make you their headgirl. With that being said, I wish you all the best of luck for next week." Mr Anderson shakes our hands thn walks off stage.

We look at each other with, fake smiles and shake each other's hands.
Everyone claps theirs hands and we walk off stage.
As I sit down in a chair, Luyolo walks onto stage.

"Uhm parents and teacher's, there are biscuits and various hot drinks at the back of the hall. Kindly make your way there to get yourself a steaming cup of coffee. Thank you." he says addressing the SGB members and parents who were making their way out of the warm hall.

"AHH, I'm so proud of you for making it this far babe!!" Mpumi say pulling me into a hug.

"Thank youuu my muni pom."
Mpumi is everything I could ask for in a friend, she's supportive, understanding, caring me and she just has a really beautiful heart. Like me.

She's like a replica of my soul. Which is probably why we get along so well.

"OH there you are, loser." Asakhe walks up to Mpumi and I. "Next week, I'm going to get all the votes. I mean who could possibly vote for the new girl who harassed a matriculant? The same people who will be casting in their votes." She cocks her head with a stinky smile on her face.

"Yeah, actually you are right about that. Who could vote for the crazy new girl, that squashed a Matrics penis. But one thing I'm confident about, is making you a prefect next year." I get up from my seat. "I'm going to be Headgirl of this high school, whether you like it or not."

"Yeah in your dreams. My family works their butts off for this school to be the best high school in Ekuruleni. You think they'll allow some new girl to lead," she laughs with no humor. "Think twice about that happening."

"What? Are you intimidated by me?" I chuckle evilly. "Sweetie, you ain't the shit. Oh and your PARENTS....aren't the only ones that, well financially support this school. Not to mention but my father, could buy this school if he wanted to. Not fundraise it, that's just totally cheap my love."

I look into her eyes and she's fuming with anger, because I shut her up.

"So think twice about, well, boasting about your parents cheapskate moves, okay." I pat her on her shoulder with a huge smile on my face.

She removes my hand off her blazer and storms off.
"After that, she'll never talk smack to you." Mpumi says giving me a high five.
