It was 5.05pm and Miyeon was on her way to downtown Seoul, when her phone rang. It was Soojin.
"Hey Jin... long time no see." Miyeon said, answering the call.
"You're right Unnie... by the way Unnie, happy birthday. How are you?" the younger asked.
"Thank you Jin. I'm fine. I've been busy running errands at work lately, but I still manage to make time for myself haha." Miyeon said.
Miyeon was one of the top artists in Seoul and she was often inundated with commissions from clients.
"I'm glad to hear that," Soojin said. "Unnie... I prepared a gift for you, but I left it in Minnie Unnie's studio. I'd like to go and get it, but Shuhua and I have to go to my parents' for dinner and because of that sleepyhead, we're already quite late. Would you mind going and getting it yourself? Minnie Unnie isn't there, she wasn't feeling well today and she didn't go to the studio." Soojin asked.
"S-sure Jin. I'm already nearby, so it won't be a problem to reach. Thanks for the gift, Jin." Miyeon said, walking towards Nicha's studio.
"I didn't choose it Unnie, it's a used item that you already know. I was told to give it to you four years ago, but I preferred to wait for the right moment... Unnie... pull yourself together, don't let fear hold you back again... follow your heart. There is someone still waiting for you and only you." said Soojin "See you soon Unnie" concluded the younger one, without waiting for an answer from Miyeon.
After a few minutes, Miyeon was standing in front of the main entrance of the agency where Minnie worked.
The brunette took a deep breath and walked through the front door, up the stairs and stood in front of Minnie's studio door.
This was one of Miyeon's favorite places, where she and Nicha spent most of their afternoons when they were engaged. There Minnie played her first song composed for her; "Dahlia".
Nicha liked to call Miyeon "Her Muse ''.
Miyeon loved that place, just as she still loved her owner, who used to be her lover and best friend.
But now there was no more "us" for her and Nicha, and it was all her fault.
She had regretted that choice for years, but the fear was greater.
And now, Miyeon was right there, in front of that studio where the soul of the love of her life was kept, where many of their memories were kept, their hugs and kisses, all the sweet words Minnie whispered in her ears when they cuddled on the sofa.
Oh how she missed all of this, how she missed Nicha's love, a love that no one will ever be able to imitate, a love that is one of a kind.
Miyeon came back to reality and looked at the keyboard to enter the code.
"Will it still be the same?" Miyeon asked herself, trying to enter the code.
As the door opened, a tear left her eye, trailing down her cheek.
*Password: 140313*
March 13, 2014 was the date Nicha gave her first kiss to Miyeon, the same day the two decided to get in a relationship.
Nicha had decided to enter it as the password for her studio, but even nearly four years after their split, Minnie still hadn't replaced it.
Miyeon closed her eyes and took a deep breath and entered.
As soon as the girl opened the door, Nicha's perfume enveloped her like a hug.
Oh how she missed Nicha, her scent, her touch, her delicate and sweet kisses, her hugs on that sofa that was now empty.
