"Mom!" Dahlia shouted, running to the door, welcoming Nicha.
"Dahl!" the woman said, taking her daughter into her arms. "Ready to go trick or treating?
"Yes!" the little girl exclaimed. "Mom, can you help me cut my pumpkin first?"
"Of course, let's go, so we can get ready to go out." she said, letting Dahlia down.
The two went into the kitchen, where Miyeon was standing baking some biscuits.
"Yeon-ah." Minnie said, going closer to her wife.
Miyeon turned, smiling, pecking her on the lips.
"Oh, hello, darling," she said. "How was your day?"
"Stressful, but I'm happy to be back early." Nicha said, sitting down next to Dahlia.
"Will you help Dahlia?" the woman asked, placing her hands on her wife's shoulders, before kissing her head.
"Yes"
"Go change your clothes first." said Miyeon in a serious tone.
Minnie smiled, glancing at Dahlia, raising her eyebrows, making the little girl giggle.
"Boss' orders, sweetie." Nicha said. "I'll be right back."
Minnie came back a few minutes later, sitting next to her daughter again.
The two began carving faces into the pumpkins, while Miyeon prepared the basket of sweets, baking cookies for Dahlia's snack.
The three ate the cookies, listening to the music, humming, while creating works of art with the pumpkins.
Their house had already been decorated since the beginning of October, but Dahlia loved to carve her last pumpkin on the last day of the month, aka Halloween.
The two finished their work, displaying the pumpkins at the entrance of their house.
"Mom, Mommy, can we go trick-treating now?" Dahlia asked excitedly.
"Yes, go put on your costume and brush your teeth."
"Mommies, get dressed too!" the little girl exclaimed, seeing the two women smile.
After a few minutes, Dahlia saw her mothers come out of their room, seeing them dressed as police officers.
"HEY!" exclaimed the little girl, dressed as a little cute prisoner. "I can't be the prisoner."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm too pretty!" Dahlia exclaimed, making Nicha laugh.
"She definitely got that from you." she said, looking at her wife.
Miyeon glared at her before leaning down.
"Dahl, these are the only clothes we have. It'll be fun." Miyeon proposed, reassuring the little girl.
"And then, who said a prisoner can't be pretty?" Minnie asked, lowering herself next to Dahlia. "Come on, you're wasting time you could spend getting candies."
"All right!" the little girl exclaimed, running to get her pumpkin shaped basket, before going out with her moms.
Dahlia ran ahead, while Minnie and Miyeon couldn't help but look at her, as they walked hand in hand.
"I love days like this." Minnie admitted, looking at their daughter.
"Why?" Miyeon asked, looking at her wife.
"Because it's in these moments that I realize how much Dahlia has grown and how much I love spending time with you. How much I love you and how lucky I am to have gotten married."
