In a world dominated by automae.
A world in which perfect beings, created by humans in their image and likeness, reign supreme, exploiting humans, submitting them to their domain.
Humans hated the Made.
Man's worst creation.
Automae had taken over everything.
Traditions, houses, villages, palaces, everything.
Men served them as slaves or merchants.
If you weren't useful to their society, you were eliminated, without rancor.
Automae had the same appearance as men, but much taller, with perfect bodies and golden eyes.
They didn't age as quickly as humans, but it took hundreds of years for them to deteriorate.
Their memory was infinite, it was enough to read something once and they already knew it, like the back of their hands.
They were perfect beings.
Nothing destroyed them.
Their wounds regenerated alone in a few minutes.
They were such perfect beings that the humans, the rebels, could not beat them, surrendering to their dominion.
The only thing that destroyed them was fire.

"Miyeon-ah."
The girl turned towards the voice, seeing Soojin behind her.
"We must go into the fields and gather the fruits of the season. The king wants them on his table for lunch." Soojin said, before walking out of the servants' room.
Miyeon sighed.
She hated this life and, above all, she hated this job.
She hated the king Danuch.
She hated his daughter Nicha.
She hated their Kind.
But Miyeon had every reason in the world to do so.
Her parents had been killed by the king Danuch's guards under his specific orders, while she could do nothing but watch the death of the people she loved, without being able to do anything.
Seven years had passed since that day, but Miyeon had sworn to bring revenge on her family.
How?
By killing Nicha, the king's daughter, his creation, his jewel.
Nicha was a perfect being, commissioned by the king to the Makers.
She wanted to hit him in his weak spot.
She wanted to weaken him.
She wanted to make him suffer, as he had made her suffer.
She wanted to hold Nicha's heart in her hands, until all her purple blood had flowed out of it.

"Jin-ah, I've finished my hours. I'm going to the garden for a break, I'll be back soon." Miyeon said, leaving the field, heading into the king's labyrinthine garden.
The garden overlooked a slope with the sea and the beach.
Miyeon headed towards the slope, ready to go down to the beach, when she heard voices.
