Powdery snow flew up around her, raining down softly.
Yoon Soo started to shuffle forward on his skis, but Miyeon couldn't wait. She stepped free from her skis, leaving her poles in the snow.
Miyeon sprinted across the clearing to where Minnie lay, face up at the sky with her eyes closed.
"Min?" Miyeon fell on her knees beside Nicha, hands trembling as she patted Minnie's snow-streaked face. "A-Are you okay? Say something."
Minnie's face scrunched and a terrible whimper escaped her lips, the sound piercing Miyeon's heart and putting a lump in her throat.
"Min?" she repeated, this time softer, more desperate. She cradled Minnie's face in her hands. "Please, say something."
"Ow." Minnie coughed, cracking open first one eye, then both, blinking dazedly up at Miyeon.
Miyeon was scared. She had to swallow twice before speaking.
"What hurts? Your back? Is it your back? Don't move. I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to move."
She'd read that somewhere.
Minnie groaned, then made the sweetest sound Miyeon had ever heard in her entire life. She laughed, albeit slightly pained-sounding. She huffed softly, before speaking.
"My pride,"
"Y-Your what?" Miyeon swept her thumbs along Nicha's cheekbones, fingers trembling.
Minnie shifted, lifting up onto her elbow with a slight wince. Miyeon let her hands fall on her shoulders.
"My pride," Minnie repeated herself, while her lower lips jutted out "And my ass," her eyes swept down to her feet. "And my ankle."
Driven by a soul-deep sense of relief, Miyeon clutched at the collar of Minnie's pink ski jacket and hauled her closer, sealing her mouth over Nicha's, swallowing the tiny gasp of surprise that the Thai made.
Minnie's hand rose, cradling the back of Miyeon's head, fingers threading through her brown hair.
Miyeon's knuckles aching from the ferocity with which she clutched at Minnie's jacket, keeping from going far as their lips kept molding each other.
A throat cleared from behind the two girls and Minnie, with great reluctance backed detached from Miyeon's addicting lips. Miyeon lifted her head and froze.
"Look like you fell pretty hard there," said Yoon Soo, a fake smile on his lips.
Miyeon looked at Minnie again, their eyes crossing. All she could see was so much love.
Yeah, she had.

Minnie looked down, where her foot rested on a pillow at the end of the bed. A purple and blue bruise was already visible, along with a bulge. Her ankle throbbed, but Minnie couldn't help but smile. The pain was nothing compared to the joy she felt as she remembered what had happened a few minutes ago.
Miyeon had kissed her. Their lips had touched.
Nicha was lost in thought when their bedroom door opened, revealing Miyeon.
Minnie's lips became dry and the desire to kiss Miyeon grew more and more every second. Now she knew how sweet those lips were and she knew she was screwed now. She knew that from that moment on she would become addicted to it.
"Hey. How are you doing?" Miyeon asked shyly.
"Hurt like hell." Minnie said, glancing at her foot. "But I think Yoon Soo's diagnosis was correct. It's not broken, I can move it. I think it's just seriously bruised and sprained." Minnie smiled at Miyeon. "Same as my pride."
Miyeon approached Minnie, sitting next to her, placing a hand on the Thai's cheek.
"Thanks for saving me, Min." the brunette said, caressing the girl's face. "I was afraid I was going to crash, but seeing you there under all that snow... I almost skipped a beat."
"Are you joking? You don't even know how scared I was." Minnie said, taking the brunette's hand in hers, caressing them. "Why did you come to that slope? Even at full speed."
Miyeon looked at their intertwined hands, while Nicha's thumb gently caressed her knuckles.
"I wanted to show you what I had learned."
"Do you realize how scared I was? I couldn't think of anything at that moment except saving you." her voice broke and Miyeon's chest splintered open. "Watching you ski without stopping against the plastic mesh barrier. I couldn't bear to see you so scared."
"I was really scared," Miyeon said, bringing Nicha's hand to her lips, giving her a kiss on the knuckles. "I was afraid you might get seriously hurt."
Minnie approached the brunette, giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"It didn't happen. You're safe and I got away with a sprained ankle." Minnie said, smiling. "And... I love you."
Miyeon blinked, trying to process Nicha's words.
"I don't know if that kiss meant anything to you or if you did it out of impulse, but for me it was everything. I have loved you, more than anything, for ten years now." Minnie admitted, feeling her heart lighter. "I admit, I was very jealous when I saw you with Yoon Soo. I was afraid that he would win your heart and that I would be too late. Only you can tell me, Miyeon. Am I too late? Did Yoon Soo before I did?"
"Yoon Soo is a really nice guy..."
Shit. Here it was.Tension knotted in the pit of Minnie's stomach.
"Yeon, you don't need to-" Minnie didn't need to hear the rest, tears were already about to escape from the corner of her eyes.
"Can you let me finish?" said Miyeon, smiling. "I was saying... Yoon Soo is a nice guy." she repeated, twisting the knife a little deeper. "But I do not want him," she clarified, smiling. "I want you, Minnie Yontararak."
Minnie's heart rose into her throat like a balloon.
Miyeon wanted her.
"I love you more than anything and I wish I could kiss you countless more times. I would like to stay with you, until the oxygen in my lungs runs out. I want you, Minnie Nicha Yontararak."
Minnie smiled, bringing her hand to the back of Miyeon's neck, bringing her into a soft, sweet kiss as their lips molded and caressed.
Nicha pulled away, leaving only a few inches between their lips.
"Cho Miyeon, do you want to be my girlfriend?" she asked, seeing a huge smile grow on Miyeon's lips.
"Yes! Yes, I want it more than anything."
