I landed in a small town.
The townspeople deemed me a dangerous alien invader and locked me up before I could even open my eyes.
I was now on death row, locked in a dirty cell.
I didn't know what was going on, but my itch to explore got the best of me, my instincts controlling my every move and thought!
The cell was run down and shitty and the cement floor was fragmented, so I grabbed a pebble off of it and threw it down the hall. The sheriff who was on shift went to go investigate the noise. While he was busy, I swung from the bars and kicked down the window. I climbed through to Freedom!
I began running and running, clambering over objects and zigzagging in different directions, trying to make it as hard as possible for the sheriff to chase me down. I saw him burst from the prison doors as he gave chase, catching up quickly. He got close and leapt for me, tackling me to the dirt! A fight then ensued, and I was victorious, a well-placed kick, knocking him out. However, in the scuffle I had injured one of knees and because of this injury, during my long walk into the wilderness, I fell into a pitfall trap!
I looked up and saw pointy ears peering over the edge at me. Goblins... they were going to leave me down there to die. They said if I could make my way out with just a dagger, they'd not only spare my life but also offer me work at their village. Like clockwork, the dagger tumbled down into the pit and landed next to my feet. I picked up the dagger, feelings its weight in my palm and began to anchor it into the wall, using my shirt as a rope-like tool. I fell down again and again, hitting my back on the small pebbles at the basin. But after a long struggle, I finally managed to get out with my shirt still tied to the dagger.
As promised, the 3 Goblins took me to their village which was surrounded by a big wall to keep all the baddies out. They let me in, fed me and tended to my injuries.
We tried dining in peace but the local species; Mimic Dragons kept annoying us. They're tiny little things that can mimic sounds they hear. Turns out the mimic dragons learn a lot of their noises from a HUGE Dragon that lives in the area named Betsy. But the goblins assured me that Betsy is harmless unless she's hungry. She mostly ate vegetation and there was plenty to go around.
It was getting late and so we headed to sleep. The goblin-sized beds were too small for me, so I slept on the carpet.
The next morning, I was awoken by a racket. Something had found its way into the village and was causing chaos! I looked out the window and spotted a strange, young creature with smooth black fur and glowing red eyes. It looked at me and darted for the dormitories. It was trying to find me and would attack any goblin which attempted to stop it.
The Goblin Warriors told me its name.... Nargacuga. It was now prowling the halls and stopped in its tracks when it saw me again. I tried offering it some meat from the mess hall and it took it before leaving. But it kept looking back, as if it wanted me to follow...
Instead of following I checked for survivors and helped tend to all the wounded. I suggested the goblins move their village to a place where there are less dangerous animals. But the goblin Chief refused, saying they've built too much here to abandon it now. So, then I suggested we upgrade the walls and the Chief said they were running low on resources, and that the goblins and their small stature aren't very good at carrying the heavy materials necessary for the renovation. So, I offered to do the hard labor in exchange for some money and the chief agreed.
I went back out into the wilderness, shaking trees for sticks and once I had them, I found stones and fiber and crafted my first pickaxe. With that I gathered minerals as well as wood and thatch.
As I was about to head back... Nargacuga was there... watching me. I began slowly backing up towards the village and it didn't follow. I then turned tail and sprinted back into the village and yelled out "The Beast is here!" and so the warriors grabbed their weapons.
