Chapter 11 (A Mad Titan's Conquest)

I quickly rushed into the Vault and found Superman, knocked out on the floor!

Standing above his body was Thanos, who looked up at me upon my intrusion.

I tried thinking of an elaborate story to persuade Thanos that the reality stone was elsewhere but didn't work. The stone collector was done playing games and ordered one of his minions to face me while he continued his search throughout the Vault.

She was an older woman, sharing some characteristics with dark elves while also having two horns, jet black hair, signature Chitauri armor and wielded peculiar spear.

With only 5 party members remaining after the last confrontation, I was weaker than usual!

I sent out Archelon first!

Proxima threw her spear, hitting Archelon's shoulder!

It injected a Perish Poison, which gave Archelon a small window of time to stay alive!

Archelon ate one of the Steroid Mushrooms, increasing his strength, before shell-rolling into Proxima, barrelling through her! He kept rolling around, not losing momentum!

Proxima broke into one of the vault cells and grabbed a 'Berserker Staff'!

She span it around in circles very fast, blocking any incoming attack! The staff also granted her super strength!

Archelon shell-rolled into Proxima again, sticking one arm out to skillfully snatch the staff!

Proxima, broke into another cell, stealing and throwing Batarangs!

Archelon decided to utilize the vault too, grabbing the Witchblade!

He was not worthy to wield it, his arm drying up and falling off!

Archelon had fallen...

Eznior was on-field next!

Eznior summoned a golem with debris which then tried to pick up the Witchblade!

The Golem fell apart upon touching it!

Proxima stepped forward and felled Eznior with one strike of her spear!

I was next.. and I was afraid, but I reached down and grabbed the Witchblade!

I cringed at the thought of losing my arms... But nothing happened..

I was wielding the blade! I was worthy!

I ran in, stabbing Proxima Midnight in the chest, killing her!

And with that we won, getting tomes and also equipping Proxima's Spear!

Meanwhile, Thanos found the reality stone in the Vault and stole it before teleporting away once again!

"Coward!" I snapped.

We looked around at the destroyed vault..

"This is terrible, many of our most powerful weapons... destroyed. These were our best chance at defeating Thanos..." Superman wailed.

I helped him up off the ground. "How did he find this place?" I asked.

"No clue. He has many minions and armies. I'm guessing he somehow used them," Superman replied vaguely.

Superman looked to Proxima's carcass. "At Least we got one of them," He dusted himself off.

"We can do this. Where are the others?" I asked as Rexy swallowed Proxima's corpse whole!

"They were all taken down outside the vault. He somehow got them without anyone realizing. All we can do now is evaluate the information we got," Superman said as he walked out of the Vault.
