Centurion Showdown (Isaac, the first Adventurer)

Chapter 2 (The League of Heroes)

Right as we thought we were going to die; we fell through a portal the cloaked figure had created. The glass orbs we were holding then shattered, detecting the sudden change of location! The smashed orbs released a magical gas into our noses!

We then arrived on the other side of this portal soon after, the gas protecting us from teleportation sickness.

We were in another realm... shrouded in dark clouds.

The goblins readied their weapons, forming a circle with me, wary of anything that moved.

Suddenly a tall man floated down towards us... his eyes glowed red.

He demanded us to surrender.

We were all confused, we hadn't done anything upon arriving.

I said to the goblins that he was bluffing, and the red eyes were probably a mere scare tactic.

Then, those very red eyes shot lasers and vaporized one of the goblin friends!

The tall man was then joined by his allies as the Goblin's ashen corpse blew away in tiny pieces.

The tall, levitating man revealed himself as 'Darkseid' and I asked him if we had trespassed on his land.

"Granny, show them," He said in a deep, menacing voice. One of Darkseid's allies; specifically, the green woman with a magical staff took a step forward.

"My pleasure," She replied, readying her staff. With a single shot of Magic, we were teleported into a dark room, tied down to chairs with chains.

The green woman appeared and pulled a lever. A robot descended from the ceiling and began to read the mind of one of the goblins. Then another came down and did the same with another.

I was next... and right before it came down from the ceiling...

Another portal opened up, slicing off the green woman's hand!

And another appeared right after, severing the robots from their cables!!

The final portal appeared, and a man stepped out, dressed in fine garments with a red cloak that seemed to be alive.

He nodded to me. "Dr. Strange," He introduced.

I thanked him for saving us and asked who these villains were and what they wanted from us.

Dr Strange did not know.

He then proceeded to kill the green woman with a single strike, with a whip cloaked in sparks as hot as the sun!

Dr. Strange then teleported us outside, and we saw the villains from before being overrun by... The League of Heroes!

We grew worried for our brethren back home of what fate met them. Even Betsy, could she survive an Earthquake like that?

Dr. Strange said that someone was pulling some strings behind all the villain activity lately and they were trying to find out who that was. This supposed perpetrator was also the one that tried to kill me with the Earthquake! But who was trying to prevent the Adventurers from arising, we did not know...

Turns out this band of villains were trying to brainwash us and use us against the league of heroes.

Dr. Strange said that reality was far too unstable near our village and it was too dangerous to teleport back there but he could take us nearby.

We agreed and Strange teleported us back home... well, near home.

This area was more tropical like a jungle.
