Jin clicked his fingers and immediately two of these doctors walked over, bowing down.
'You will do a DNA test on our lovely Y/N here, got it?' He demanded.
They nodded their heads and quickly scurried away, you just stood there in confusion staring at all the technology you had never seen before. Jin chuckled at you and placed his hand on your shoulder.
'All new, hm?' He asked.
'Yeah, it is, what does it all do?' You replied in a confused tone.
It was all human technology, stuff you had never seen before at all. The only doctors you were used too were ones with potions and wooden cottages, not scary metal ones.
'They all serve their different purposes' Jin said, still standing behind you.

Just as you were about to ask more questions, the man and woman dressed in white long coats rushed back over and showed you over to a table. Confused, they sat you down and handed you a long cotton swab.
'The fuck, want me to eat it or something?' You muttered, disapproving the thing.
'You need to swab the inside of your cheek with it' The woman instructed.
'Do I have too...?' You groaned, slumping down in the uncomfortable chair.
The man and woman looked at Jin with nervous faces and he just sighed at you with an annoyed face.
'Just do it, Y/N' Jin asked.
'Well I don't wanna?' You protested, putting it onto the table.
He suddenly picked it up off the table and stormed over to you from the other side, grabbing your face.

'Need me to do it for you?!' He shouted.
'NONONO! Okay I'm sorry, fine I'll do it!' You spluttered, snatching it off him.
He just chuckled annoyingly as you rolled your eyes.
'Can I have some privacy cos you lot watching me is kinda weird?' You mumbled, uncomfortable.
Jin just sighed and turned around, the doctors doing the same. You then smirked and quickly dipped it into a glass of water on the side, making sure it didn't absorb too much. After squeezing out some of the excess water from the delicate cotton tip, you gave them all permission to look.

'Here, take it' You scoffed, handing it back.
You looked up at Jin who had a smug look plastered on his face as he watched the doctors take it away.
'It should take a day for the results to come through' Jin said, ushering you to stand up.
'Can I go home then?!' You cried.
'For now, you are to return here though same time tomorrow for the results' Jin replied, almost with a disappointing tone.
He then escorted you back to the door you came in from, but just before you were about to leave he strongly gripped your arm and tugged you back.
'You better be back tomorrow Y/N, I expect you to be' He demanded, staring at you without distractions.
'What's the big deal about it?' You scoffed, pulling away.

'If the test is positive, you'll see why, darling'  Jin smirked.
You discreetly chuckled to yourself, knowing that weird test would show absolutely nothing, unless water had your DNA in it.
'Sure, whatever!' You smiled, walking out the door. But then you turned around again and faced him one last time.
'Why do you always call me darling and stuff?' You asked.
'No reason, now go, didn't you want too?' Jin sighed.
Rolling your eyes, you turned on your heel and briskly walked away, the once smoggy purple sky turning black as night drew closer. Upon arriving home back to the cottage, a feeling of euphoria hit you and you ran inside.

Your mother sat anxiously at the table, staring at her hands.
'Mother, I'm back!' You cried, your arms open.
As soon as she saw you, she hopped off the chair and clinged onto you, her short arms struggling to hit all around your body.
'My dear!'
God, that gives me flashbacks
'Are you okay?! Tell me everything!' She panted, as if she was having a panic attack.
'Mother, please, it's fine really!' You chuckled as she practically shoved you into the living room.
Sitting down on the blue sofa, you breathed out a sigh of relief after realising you were finally home, but then a wave of rage hit after you realised you had to go back tomorrow.

'So? What did this king have to say?' She asked, clasping a cup of tea in her small hands.
Confused, you looked at her as you took a sip of yours she randomly gave you out of nowhere.
'He told me he sent messengers over to tell you?' You muttered, swallowing the warm herbal tea.
She looked even more confused, darting her eyes around the room, thinking. Her tiny shoulders shrugged and you just groaned and set the mug down onto the coffee table.
'Should've of known, humans are liars!' You grimaced.
After a brief rant about how you hated humans still, you told her everything. The DNA test and his sweet words towards to you.

After taking this all in, she just hesitantly drank her tea. She chuckled between sips, as if she was stalling speaking or something.
'Mother? Are you stalling?' You sighed.
She wiggled her finger at you and pointed to her throat, gesturing she needed to swallow her mouthful of tea first. As she did, she was about to take another but you grabbed the mug and placed it down.
'There's nothing even left in it, now stop stalling and tell me what you suspect' You groaned.
Your mother looked down at her dangling feet, then up at the ceiling, then finally you.
'You really want to know?' She reluctantly said.
You nodded your head, desperate for an answer.

'I think he likes you' She mumbled.
'GROSS! UGH, A HUMAN LIKING ME I!?-'
Your mother could only just sigh as she had to endure your painful rant about how disgusted that made you feel.
'Well sweetie, it's obvious, he took you in for a reason, calls you these charming names, and I think the DNA test is an excuse to keep you close' She explained, walking to the kitchen to make some more tea.
The kettle started screeching so it was difficult to communicate across rooms, so you dragged yourself into the kitchen where she stood on a wooden stool.
'What makes you think that?' You shouted over the jarring kettle.
'I don't want to say...' She sighed, opening a packet of lavender clippings.

'Neither did Jin, is it really that fatal for me to know?' You protested.
Before answering, she tipped the lavender trimmings intosome new mugs before flooding them with the now-finished boiling water. After wafting the steam out the air, she turned to you.
'I guess we both just want to keep you calm' Your mother mumbled, handing you the small white mug.
Deciding it was probably best you didn't know, you just thanked her for the tea and retired to your bedroom. It was late, everyone was in their homes but you saw some soldiers still patrolling, making sure nobody escaped. Closing the curtains to block out their infuriating presence, you wolfed down the lavender tea as it's powerful sleep mechanisms reacted quickly to you.
