'WHAT?!'  You screamed, chucking the note onto the floor.
Confused your mother picked it up and read it before letting out a short gasp.
'Y/N?! What is this supposed to mean?'  She asked, worried.
'I don't know but I'm not going'  You scoffed.
'But the soldiers-'
'Don't scare me one bit, you saw how I spoke up to them'  You interrupted.
'True, but honey, maybe you should see what he wants?'  Your mother suggested.
'No! I don't want to see that.. thing?!'  You cried, flopping back down onto your bed.
Your mother sighed and walked out the room, hearing her small footsteps shuffle into the kitchen. After laying there for a while contemplating life, you got dressed into your short baby blue cottage dress with white ruffle socks before meeting your mother again in the kitchen.

'Here honey, I made you some wild berry waffles' She smiled, handing you the plate.
You stared at her with wide eyes and ravenously grabbed the plate, scoffing the purple waffles down in one go.
'Thanks, mother' You cried, now energised and negotiable.
'Now honey, the time is actually already 11:30-'
'11:30?! I SLEPT IN?!' You screamed, looking at the huge clock.
'Yes, but sweetie, you really should consider meeting this human king' She said hesitantly.

You groaned and folded your arms, staring at her distastefully after making such a request.
'He could maybe like you-'
'Don't say that' You grimaced, feeling sick at the thought of a human liking you.
'What I meant was, he could grow to like you so you can then convince him to leave Mystica alone?' Your mother explained.
You looked down at the floor, tapping your foot involuntarily on the cold wooden floor. Staring around, you thought about it.
'I guess..? But then I still really don't want too...' You sighed, looking outside at the sky. 'Humans disgust me though, our sky isn't even purple anymore because of all the smoke from that stupid airship!' You shouted.
'That's why we need you to help, but I won't force you' She said.
She then walked up to you and hugged you, well your lower torso because she was a short woman.

'Take a walk, clear your mind before you decide' She smiled.
Sighing, you gave into her advice and put on your black mary janes before opening the door and going outside. Nothing seemed different, until you suddenly choked on the faint smell of smoke lingering in the air. Then you realised soldiers were everywhere and you did not want them to see you, so you quickly ran off into the forest areas where it was just solitary. Walking along the leaf-scattered paths, you ran your hands through the beautiful tall flowers and watched the many animals scurry through the trees and the floor. You wouldn't let any human destroy this. There was a spot you knew so you went over to it. A gleaming blue pond with delicate green frogs with intricate pink designs on them, green lilypads with extravagant flowers blooming on them.

You sat down on the treestump laced with ivy next to it and just observed your face in the reflection of the sparkling water. You didn't look the same, usually there would be a smiling face but now you just looked miserable. It was understandable though, you were going to be forced to meet this human King Seokjin soon and life couldn't be worse with the humans wearing unusual amounts of silver running around everywhere. Suddenly, a frog leaped onto your lap. You scooped it up into your hands.
'How could the humans want to destroy something as innocent as Mystica?' You sighed, staring at the small amphibian.

It suddenly hopped onto a lilypad, joining two other of its friends. Soon enough, you left the forest and returned home, hiding from humans every step of the way. Entering the cottage, your mother had left a note on the table.
Y/N, I have quickly left to go to the town centre to get stuff for the kitchen. I probably won't see you for a while but I love you, mother.
You stared at it knowing the second sentence was very true. As you were in a trance, the clock on the wall chimed loudly. 12pm. Screaming from realisation, you dropped to the floor realising you were supposed to be at the airship but you weren't. Peeking through the small square window by the door, three soldiers were already walking up to the door.
'SHIT' You shouted, locking the door.

They banged on the door and instead of opening it, you stood up and opened the small window, sticking your head out of it.
'Go away' You groaned.
'Did you not receive the letter?' A soldier asked.
'I did, and I really don't care so GO AWAY!' You shouted this time.
'Might I remind you, miss Y/N, that the King wants to see you now and it is mandatory!' Another yelled.
'Is it the end of the world or something?! Why do I even need to see him?!' You shrieked.
The soldiers looked at eachother before answering, making you suspicious.
'No reason-'
'Great then there's no point of me coming, goodbye!' You smiled, slamming the window shut.
Just as you were about to walk away, the door suddenly cracked, splinters flying everywhere.

'YOU FUCKING HUMANS! You think you're so entitled to destroy everything in your sight, just leave me alone!' You cursed, unlocking the door and swinging it open.
They just chuckled as you realised the mistake you made. Two of them lunged for you and suddenly grabbed onto your arms.
'Agh, no, human germs!' You cried as they pulled you out the house. 'You better fix the door too by the way!'
All the elves looked confused but worried as they saw soldiers dragging you through the streets, but you assured them you were okay, kind of. Finally you made it to Mystica's centre and you shook the soldiers off of you as you faced the ginormous black airship.

'This really makes the town look ugly' You grimaced.
They led you inside through a door and it was so weird, nothing you had ever seen before. It was so stuffy, barely any fresh air got in. It was not colourful, just matte and dark colours with weird furniture, nothing natural. It was dark too, some parts had no windows which freaked you out. Worst part though? Humans everywhere, it was nightmare fuel.
'How long is this going to take?' You groaned.
'When the King decides to let you go' A soldier replied.
'I don't need a human's permission to leave on my own land, thanks!' You smiled.
'I doubt he will ever let her go' A soldier muttered, chuckling.
Confused, you turned around but they snapped into straight faces quicker than ever.

You then reached a huge room with a giant throne at the end. Humans buzzed around eveywhere, blocking your view of the person sat on it. They suddenly saw you and made way, making you uncomfortable in a way. You got to the end of the long carpet you walked on and looked up at the lavished black throne. There he was, the human King Seokjin. He smiled at you as you looked at him back emotionless.
'You must be Y/N' He said, his voice deep.
'Who else would I be?' You muttered, folding your arms.
He just chuckled and stepped off the throne, walking up to you. He stood way to close to you so you stepped back a little.

'It's common etiquette to curtsy before the king, my dear Y/N' Seokjin chuckled.
'Listen here, Seokjin-'
'Call me Jin, darling' He interrupted.
You stared at him, annoyed.
'Alright then, first of all don't you dear or darling me, and second, I will not be curtsying for you anytime today or ever' You argued.
Jin looked at you, a surprised look on his face, he then just smirked before stepping closer. Observing him, he had really full lips with dark eyes, clear glass skin with fluffy black hair. He wore a ruffly suit with a black jewel encrusted crown. He had very broad shoulders too, something that stood out. Anyways, you just stared up at him as his tall figure watched over you.
