As you were still absorbed in the outside world, staring out into a soon to be abyss of cloud and fog, Jin's arms slowly unravelled from your body.
'I'll give you some time alone, Y/N' He said, his heeled shoes being heard advancing towards the door.
The click of the door handle sounded and then after a second the door shut again, his footsteps trailing off into the distance. You kept your eyes fixated outside, desperately trying to catch a glimpse of that gorgeous purple sky before you never saw it again. Just a slither of it was left and you stared at it and took it in, storing it deep inside your memory before it was engulfed by the thickness of the damp clouds surrounding the airship.Slumping against the wall, you sighed and just stared at the wall in front of you. It was no different then looking out the window anyways, the view outside was now just an infinite white void. Right now, you would be visiting the town markets or hanging out with the sirens in their cove, maybe wandering the forest and tending to the animals, perhaps even messing around with the nymphs as the fairies sprinkled their dust on you all, making you all float in the air. But no, that just wasn't a privilege you could have anymore, now it was stuck inside human walls of concrete and metal with their harsh artificial lights and weird-smelling air conditioning units. You suddenly felt a tear of nostalgia drip onto your white dress, making that one small patch a tiny bit transparent.
'No, no crying, Y/N' You mumbled to yourself, desperately sniffing and blinking away the waterworks going on in your eyes.It wasn't enough and you just gave up, letting them pour like a faucet. As relieving as it felt, it was still a wave of unpleasant and frustrating emotions, the way your happiness was just snatched away so quickly and suddenly.
How could you even expect something like this to happen? You thought you were safe on Mystica, away from humans as they were the ones who turned you and other fairytale creatures away in the first place, but clearly not. Plus, that 2% of human genes was still very much real, making you even more annoyed that you were part of the problem. Anyways, you decided it was no good sitting around, so you clambered off the windowsill and wiped your soiled face clean before opening the door and exiting your room.It was weird walking around the airship. There was stuff you came across that you had never seen in your life, stuff people couldn't even think of back home. Loads of people were walking around too, maids and servants, but you didn't see any soldiers thankfully. Kind of a lot for only a couple of nights, but whatever. There was a mirror in one of the wide corridors, so you stood infront of it and you just stared at your face, your cheeks were rosy and your face felt warm, probably from crying earlier.
Using your sleeve, you tried to fan your face off but if anything, it was making you even hotter and was not helping in the slightest. Frustrated, you then watched the tips of your pointy ears slowly turn red, so you rushed back upstairs to your room and ran into the huge closet. Surprisingly, there were clothes in there, but it was nothing like yours back at home. You just grabbed a simple small dress without the long sleeves and down-to-ankle length, this one was short enough to cool you down. After hastily getting dressed, both your face and ears started to fade to your normal skin tone again. Suddenly, there was a rapid knock at the door.
'I see you've gotten dressed' Jin's voice said as he walked into the room.
'You knocked but didn't even ask my permission to come in?' You scoffed, taking off your huge shoes and placing them down by your bed.
''Hm, too bad' He chuckled. 'Now, my dear, we need to discuss our marriage'
You immediately groaned and realised the situation you were currently in.
'I still don't want to marry you, you know?' You muttered, turning to face him.
'I know sweetie, but then again you kind of have too' He pouted, obviously not caring though. 'Now, we are meeting with my finest wedding coordinators and prominent staff downstairs in about an hour for dinner, where we will discuss the ceremony''Yay, more humans..!' You jeered, forcing a smile.
Jin just scoffed and shook his head lightly as he looked down at the floor. He then walked over to you, closing the distance and placed his large hands on your narrow shoulders, making you flinch a bit due to the force he used.
'Now that's something I came here to discuss' He sighed.
After quickly shoving you over to the bed, he sat you down onto it and set himself down next to you.
'I don't want you showing these people any kind of disrespect or arrogance, they are MY employees so I am the one who does all the bossing around, not you, got it?' Jin instructed. 'Plus, I don't know how they will react if an elf starts shouting at them''And what's that supposed to mean?' You snapped, folding your arms.
'Look, Y/N, I'm just saying that if you do anything out of order, there will be consequences' He chuckled, standing up and beginning to walk over to the door.
Confused, you stood up too and briskly walked after him as he swiftly opened the door and made his way downstairs.
'SUCH AS?!' You shouted, making the whole stairwell shake.
'You'll see' Jin replied, his deep voice booming against the four walls as he walked down the black marble steps.Absolutely confused now, you just decided to get ready a little bit before meeting these 'so-called' important coordinators and staff, and of course you were dreading it, having these humans discuss and carry out your future for you. But all you had to do was try not and throw plates at them, then it would be a success! In your room, you did some very VERY deep meditation, mentally preparing yourself for the evening knowing it would probably be a whole wreck. Then again, you didn't want to suffer any so-called 'consequences' that Jin had just threatened you with, so you decided just to keep calm and even if they said the tiniest thing that set you off, you wouldn't scream, you would just politely challenge them. How hard could it possibly be?
