Narrators pov

As Chase fought the darkness that was trying to overcome her while she tried her best to connect her mate, she took slow controlled breathes while she focused on the task at hand.

Yaretzi felt someone trying to reach her through her link so she opened it and let the strange yet familiar feeling through in oder for the message to be received the only words that where said through the link where "help please" and Yaretzi knew instantly who it was she had a feeling something was wrong with her mate she just needed to confirm it and that was all the confirmation she needed she responded to the distress call with an "I'm on my way baby just hold on a little longer" she could feel that the connection was weak, though she wondered how her mate was able to reach her without them mating and opening the link like normal she put that thought aside and called Gerardo and the twins just in case they needed to fight she also called Laylani because she just knew her mate needed medical assistance.

Chase's pov

I gave in and finally let the darkness take over but before everything went dark I heard my father speak "this place better be spotless when we return you worthless waste of space!" Was the last thing I heard before I was un chained and fell to the ground letting the darkness take me.

Narrators pov

As he looked back at his sister Tyler kind of felt bad this time, yes he hates her but that's what he was taught growing up. He was always told that people like Jenna where abominations and a curse they are not worthy of love or any sort of kindness so he grew to hate her even though all she did was love him and look up to him he remembered the reason Jenna got into sports it was his first game and he was nervous but before the game Jenna went to him and hugged him telling him his the best and she can't wait to grow big and strong just like him she said she'll play sports and be better than him though he hated her Jenna never missed any of his games not one even when he plays for he's college team she's always there to support him. His parents show up to his games but only when they are able to and that always hurt Tyler. But when he'd see his sister seated and cheering him on he was unstoppable. He suddenly thought about his mate the boy he saw sitting with his rival the boy was gorgeous he was the most beautiful thing in Tyler's eyes but the only problem was he was a boy, he's parents would never accept him If he allowed himself a male mate but for some reason he didn't care he wanted his mate to accept him but he knew after last months stunt that might not be possible but one can only dream. He takes one last look at his sister and sighs thinking to himself "what have I done?" he shakes in his head and walks away leaving the door cracked cause for some reason he knew her new friends will come help he just felt it.

Yaretzi's pov

We finally arrived at Chase's house and her parents are not home thankfully. I run to the front door and knocked a couple of times but get no response so I pull the handle and the door isn't locked I sniff the air and there's no one home I sniff it again and bingo it's the sent of Chase's blood I follow the sent upstairs to a dark area of the house, I stop at a slightly open door and sniff just to make sure and sure enough the sent is strongest in this specific room I push the door open and tears begin to fall almost immediately. Chase is lying on the ground in a puddle of her own blood and the wounds look really painful I pick her up and run down the stairs to the car I place her In the back seat with Laylani so she can tend to most of the wounds while I tell Gerardo and Aloise to clean up the room I just got her from cause I know damn well she's the one who's supposed to clean it up. After I'm done telling them what to do I get in the driver's seat and rush to the pack house when we arrive I carefully carry Chase out the car and rush her to the infirmary then I call my parents because I'm putting an end to this abuse weather she likes it or not.
