I walked into the main building at Monza, a few paces ahead of some of the Prema drivers.

"Guys, I think we should take the stairs. The electrics have been weird today." Dino said behind me.

"No, Cmon man! You need to save energy for qualifying." Paul re0lied, grabbing his shoulder, escorting him to the elevator like a police officer. Dino rolled his eyes and followed me in, then Paul, Ollie, Fred, Zak, Robert, Kiril, Logan and my older brother Oscar.

I clicked the button for floor three as the doors closed.

"So how are people feeling about Monza?" I asked giggling, knowing it was several people's least favourite track on the calendar.

"Y/n, you know the answer to that!" Zak groaned. I snorted as I looked around to the others.

"Alright actually." Ollie answered. "How you feeling about commentating?"

"I mean... yea. I don't think I'll be good at it." I laughed.

"No! You'll do fine." He reassured. I looked over to see Fred smirking at Ollie, to which Oscar moved positions to between me and Ollie.

"Guys, for my tik tok, can you each say your favourite track or race?" Robert asked, getting his phone ready to film. Everybody nodded as he pointed his phone to Kiril.

"Zandvoort. All the way." He answered.

"Ehm, Baku." Zak said.

"Melbourne... obviously." Oscar said as i rolled my eyes at him.

"Hungary I guess..." Logan answered.

"Barcelona." Ollie said.

"Monza baby!" Paul said loudly. Then the camera turned to me.

"Austin I'm gunna have to say." I answered.

"Y/n, that's not very patriotic of you!" Oscar said making everyone laugh.

"And for me it's Baku with Zak!" Robert said finishing the video. Everyone began talking again before I realised that the elevator was not moving anymore.

"Guys..." I said, but everyone continued talking. "GUYS"

Everyone stopped and stared at me. I pointed tit eh screen that shows the floor as it was showing a blurred mix of two and three.

"The elevators stopped between two and three..." Oscar breathed.

"Yes well done Sherlock." I said, looking on the control panel for an assistance bell but there wasn't one. "Bloody hell. There's no assistance bell."

"And here we are for the next 2 hours!" Logan said grandly. Everyone suddenly burst out chattering about how we would get out, how people had died in elevators and Dino was telling us how he told us so.

"Guys shut up! I'm calling Angelina and Guillame to tell staff." Paul said bringing his phone up to his ear. "Hi! Yea, Uhm... we're trapped in an elevator." To which everyone burst out laughing. "Ok, thanks. Bye!"

We stood around for 30 minutes before most people's legs got tired and they began sitting down. Little groups were established; Oscar, Logan and Robert then Dino, Zak, Fred and Paul then me, Ollie and Kiril. But Kiril got bored of the conversation and ended up jointing Dino, Fred and Paul.

Me and Ollie both had our backs to one of the walls, and were trying to woke out how you could sneak a completely random word into a new article. I began getting drowsy in the warm air of the elevator and was struggling to concentrate on the conversation.

"You okay?" Ollie asked, looking next to him.

"Yea, just a bit sleepy." I said yawning. He nodded as he put an arm round my shoulder and pulled me into his. I felt my face turn red, looking over to Oscar who raised an eyebrow and laughed before going back to his discussion.

I had had a crush on Ollie for a long while now. He was one of my closets friends in the paddock and had been for 3 years. I wasn't entirely sure about wether Ollie ever did think of us as more than friends or not sometimes. Mixed signals were a common occurrence.

My mind wandered again and I started thinking about the smirk that Fred had sent over to Ollie earlier. It was weird and the context was odd for a smirk. So, I asked.

"Ollie, why was Fred smirking at you earlier?"

"Oh, Uhm. Don't worry. It's just an inside joke." He replied hastily. I don't know what it was, but the smirk just did not match a joke. I could agree it was something they had talked about without me but it was still weird.

It was as if Ollie could tell I didn't quite believe him as he continued.

"Ok, well, not really a joke... but yea." He finished. I looked up at him as he breathed out deeply.

"I know you know I still don't believe you." I said snuggling my head back down into his shoulder.

"Ugh, Y/n, how do you even know?" He half whined half asked.

"Gut feeling." I replied. "So what happened?"

Ollie stopped and looked to see if anyone was listening, which they weren't.

"What a place to tell you this..." he breathed before continuing. "I have a crush in you. That might explain the mixed signals if you were wondering. I was too scared to just say it. Fred knows I love you as well."

My heart was beating fast as I sat up to look at him. I must have looked emotionless or disgusted because he then apologised.

"I'm sorry. That's 3 years of friendship over. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

"No, no, no, no! I feel the same way. I just thought the the mixed signals were just a joke... but no." I smiled.

"I would never play with your feeling Y/n." He sighed, pulling me into his embrace.

"AWWWWWW!" My little sisters all grown up now!" Oscar said loudly, spotting me and Ollie. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to look at us.

"Oscar! Shut upppp..." I whined at him.

"What? You're still like 6 in my head!"

"12 years older mate." I smiled.
