Oscar POV:
Photographers and cameramen and women are the almost forgotten people in motorsport yet they are so important. You see them all the time but barely acknowledge them. Of course I know they play one of the biggest roles in motorsport by broadcasting it to everyone and posting it, but I still don't seem to notice them too much...Until testing in Bahrain at the start of 2024.

Y/n POV:
Scanning my paddock pass, I got through the barrier and walked into the not very busy paddock and towards the garages.
I was now a McLaren photographer.
I didn't know what to expect from my job as a photographer, but I was already getting the feeling that it would be a lot more interesting than I had first thought. I was scanning the garage and the crews, looking for anything that would make a good picture, when suddenly I saw Oscar.
Oscar POV:
I have to admit that I noticed her. She stood out in this sea of guys in bright papaya orange, but she didn't seem like your typical driver obsessed photographer either. There was something different about her.
She was beautiful. There was no point in denying it, she was stunning. She might as well have been a model. I didn't even know how I would concentrate on testing in the garage with her around, but somehow I had to.
Y/n POV:
I could feel Oscar's eyes on me as I walked past, my face warming up. His gaze was electrifying and I didn't know what to do.
Shrugging it off pretty quickly, I took some nice shots of the car from the back, looking out into the pit lane.
I wasn't going to let some driver distract me from what I came here to do.

A few days had passed since Oscar had been staring at me. I hated the way I felt so flustered, but I couldn't help it. He was so handsome and charming. His gaze left a deep impression on me.
I couldn't stop thinking about it.
But I still resisted him, I needed to focus on my job. Oscar was a driver and I was a photographer. We were in the same world but different worlds.
Shit needed to stay professional.

Months Later:
I arrived at the track really early in the morning to take pictures, the whole pit lane quiet and peaceful.
I was enjoying taking pictures and exploring, but there was no sign of any activity yet. I even felt alone, which was quite enjoyable.
However, out of nowhere, I suddenly felt a presence behind me and a shoe scuff the ground.
I turned around to find Oscar standing there. He was very tall and handsome with a friendly smile on his face.
I felt my face turn red as he approached me.Oscar PoV:
I had been looking at her for a few minutes from a distance and was suddenly filled with an urge to talk to her. As I approached her, I noticed her cheeks turn slightly red. I wondered if my approach had been too abrupt.
I had to hold myself back from staring at her any further.
She had such a beautiful face and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Not just her stunning looks, but how her cheeks turned red and she began to feel awkward by my presence. I couldn't help but smile, this girl was fascinating and so cute.
"Hey, uhm, what you doing here so early in the morning?" I asked, immediately regretting it, knowing it was a stupid question.
"I might ask the same for you... but just some photography." Her face was an odd mix of emotions- she seemed nervous but confident, annoyed but relaxed and emotionless but emotional.
"I- I just like the quiet of coming to the track early if I'm concerned about the race." Why did I give such an elaborate answer?!
Y/n PoV:
"I agree. The tracks nice at this time in the morning." There was an awkward silence before I spoke again. "So, uh, do you... need anything...?"
"UHM, no, just... came to chat." Oscar smiled again. "I see you most weeks but we barely speak so..."
"Yea, guess we're both busy with our work." I smiled at him. "Do you want to be in a photo maybe?"
"I-I can be if you want?" He stuttered. I grinned at how randomly flustered he got and nodded.
I gave him some quick directions to go stand further down the pit lane and the pose and I took the photos. A smile graced my face as I looked at the photos. Oscar walked back over and brought himself up next to me, looking at the camera as well.
"Molto bello, Oscar..." I said quite quietly, incorrectly knowing that Oscar wouldn't know what it meant.
"Aw, thank you!" He smiled down at me as I felt my face heat up and my soul leave my body. "Tu stessa sei molto carina" (you're looking very pretty yourself)
Suddenly, my brain kicked in and I realised that he had raced with an Italian team for a while in F2 and F3.
"I- thank you... I apologise." I've managed this long to stay professional around Oscar but I slipped out of it.
"No need to apologise" he smiled at me, making me feel a lot more comfortable and at ease around him. I slight smile quietly made its way onto my face as blush crept along my cheeks.
Our awkwardness soon morphed into a flowing conversation about life, the universe and everything. It wasn't until one of the garage doors opened that we realised how long we had been sat on the pit pavement chatting. We both looked over to the opening garages before turning back to each other.
"Well, I guess that's our queue to go... it's been very nice to properly talk to you finally!" Oscar's eyes met my own for a second before i spoke again.
"Yes, hopefully we'll speak more..." I smiled back at him as he stood up.
"Yea, see you around!" He gave me a small wave before turning to the garage and walking in as I smiled after him.
