Important Note: tell me if I'm wrong but I think in Sweden they don't say road or street after a road or street name so in some places it will be referred to as 'moving in on ...".
I hauled another box up the stairs towards my parent's bedroom. Moving house wasn't as fun as I expected it to be. It was tiring, stressful, straining and chaotic.
"Y/n! Hurry up! We have a load more boxes to go! Stop faffing around and help for once!" My Dad yelled at me from the bottom of the stairs. I lost it. Putting the box down I turned back to him.
"For once. FOR ONCE?! I suppose the dining room and living room are still empty then?" I said sharply. "I have been moving stuff since 5am, before you were even awake. Oh and I only got an hour of light sleep because I was sleeping on the floor because yesterday we couldn't possibly bring in my mattress. You know what? I'm done for today, just like you were yesterday."
Dad couldn't get another word in before I had stormed past him and out the door. I barely knew where I was going in our new town so let my legs take me wherever they felt.
We had moved from Copenhagen to the small lake side town of Mora in Sweden. At first unhappy with the move, I began to think about the excitement of moving to a new place and was liking the idea until we arrived and began moving in.
I walked to the lakeside where I sat down on a log on the edge of the beach turning into woodland. My face made its way to my hands as I sat slumped over. My thoughts were disturbed when a dog ran in front of me, turned and ran back the other way. The dog ran back to its owner as I lifted my head.
All anger, stress and anxiety drained out of me when I saw him. His gorgeous eyes caught mine for what felt like minutes but was really just a few seconds. Snapping out of it, I looked back at the rocks in front of me trying to wipe the guy out of my head. But that didn't last long when he spoke to me.
"Hey are you ok?" He asked slowly walking up to the log I was sat on.
"Um, yea fine. Just had a bit of an argument with my Dad." I replied quietly, getting lost in his eyes again.
"Don't worry. We all argue with parents." He said sitting down on the log next to me, leaving a bit of a gap though of course.
"I know... it's just because we've moved from Denmark, and I thought all this was going to be fun and it just isn't. And my Dad yelled at me because apparently I haven't helped at all."
"Yea, moving is stressful. When I moved to Maranello, even though it was just me moving, there was loads to do." He smiled. "Oh the names Dino by the way."
"Y/n." I greeted. Even his voice seemed to calm me.
"Oh, are you the family who moved in just past the end of Montésvägen?"
"Yea, how did you know?"
"I've seen the moving trucks from my house which is literally the two story house across from yours. My family is at number 15." Dino seemed nice and I could tell I would be good friends with my new neighbour.
"Yea we're at number 20." A silence fell over us. I looked back towards the water but I felt him looking at me. "Thank you by the way. Feeling much better now."
"No problem, anytime. Oh, I might as well ask for my mum, would you and your family like to come over for dinner tonight?" He asked which took me by surprise a little.
"Yea sure, I'm sure my parents would be happy to go. Thanks!" I smiled. Dino's dog started barking from the other side of the beach.
"Well uh, see you later. Nice talking, bye!" And he jogged off after the small dog. It was so easy talking to him and he just made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. Dino more or less motivated me to get back home and tell my parents that I had agreed that we would all go to dinner so walked back home.
"Hello darling, where did you disappear off to?" Mum asked happily as I stepped in the door.
"Went to cool off a bit."
"Yea, your Dad told me. Ignore him though, you know what he's like when there's DIY around. He wants to be in charge and do the most." She said quietly, hugging me with one arm, the other round the small box she was carrying.
"Yea. Anyway, I went to the lake and I met a guy who lives just over in that house and his Mum invited us round for dinner. I've already said yes by the way." I laughed a little.
"Cool, we can go! That's very of them! Do you know the family name?" I realised I never asked his surname.
"I don't know, but the son is called Dino."

"Remember we first met here a year ago." Dino said as he took my hand in his, fingers interlocking.
"And now look at us." I smiled up at him. He grinned back as we shared a quick and light but loving kiss. We sat down on the log that we had first met on. Laying my head on Dino's shoulder the water of the lake lightly shifted under the setting sun.
"How are you feeling about University next year?" Dino asked.
"Fine, feeling ready now. How you feeling about F3?" I asked as he put his arm round my waist.
"Hopefully will have a good season. I don't want to leave you though." He wrapped both his arms tightly around me.
"I will come to as many races as I can! I already know I'm definitely going to Spa and Barcelona. And... I managed to get 3 days off of work to come to Silverstone!" I revealed. Silverstone was Dino's favourite track and I knew how desperate he was for me to come and see him race there.
"Really?! Oh my gosh, I love you so much."
"Love you too."
