Outstretched Arms

She was waiting for me. Pale face smiling and arms outstretched. She was all I could remember in this hazy daze.

"You are destined."

I couldn't see anything but bright flashing lights. But with the only memory, I could recall it didn't seem like I wanted to. Those were just unwanted things. That's what she said.

"Come to me."

I was a fool. Blind and deaf, thinking I would succeed. But I wouldn't, I realised that as I took that step. As I took that step away from freedom and to her. But her gaze made reality a daze. I was a fool.

"You belong here."

I didn't want to feel again. I didn't want this unimaginable pain to return. She had caused this, that much I knew as well. Slipping to and throw through consciousness, I watched the lights, dazzling my weary eyes. Psychically and mentally I was drained, I was tired.

"Be with me."

I stumble into her arms. Blissfully unaware of my mistake. But who was I to expect that everything would be cruelly snatched away from me within those mere moments? In those moments where everything flashed before my blind eyes. The warmth of her arms shrouding my small delicate frame. She was cruel.

"Stay with me."

Yes, who was I? That blind, stupid fool, the one who jumped into her arms. Not thinking of the results and outcomes. She was all I had known. All I had wanted. She had brainwashed me. Indoctrinated me with these thoughts. And when the time came...

"Be mine..."

I was to be her's. To stay by her side. To fulfil her every whim.

"Forever."
