===== MK's POV =====

"Eevee!" I shouted in terror, running towards Eevee. Macaque had his monkey tail, wrapped around Eevee.

Macaque swung Eevee into the ground, still keeping his grip on Eevee.

I gripped my staff tighter. "Give me back my friend!!-"

Macaque smirks at me, before disappearing into the ground through a shadow, taking my barely conscious friend with him.

I tripped and slid on my stomach, reaching my hand out, still hoping to save Eevee. I felt something touch the tip of my hand, uncertain if it was Eevee's fur on the tip of their ears or if it was just the dust of nothingness in the air.

I can hear the faint popping sounds of the clones disappearing around me as I keep my hand still. Looking past my hand where Eevee once was.

My eyes, tearing up as I slowly stood back up. I felt everyone's eyes watching me as my tears rolled down my cheeks and landed on the ground.

I stared at the spot on the ground, thinking of all the different possibilities I could've done. I should've ran faster, I should've been closer to Eevee. I should've been stronger... I... I... shouldn't have left Eevee alone.

"Kid-" I hear Pigsy whisper my name from behind, sounding worried.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked over at Pigsy and the others. Wukong was looking at the ground where Eevee was dragged to the shadows, almost like he was frozen in fear. Sandy was holding Mei, who was slowly waking up with Mo, sitting on Sandy's shoulder. Tang, standing beside them.

Behind them was the destroyed noodle restaurant building and my home that used to be on top of it. The ground is cluttered with junk, broken walls and broken furniture. The 'Pigsy's Noodles' sigh was split in half, down between the two words with the pink neon light flickering. Pages of my book I created about Monkey King and my drawings, flies around from the slight cold breeze.

Pigsy walks up to me, placing his hand on my shoulder.

Before he could say anything, I quietly spoke up in a shaky breath. "I... failed..."

"Kid, you didn't-"

"I failed to keep Eevee safe!" I snapped at Pigsy. I kick a rock to the side from anger. "You guys got hurt, the restaurant and my home got destroyed! and now!... and now..." I trailed off, looking down and tightening my grip on my staff. More tears escaped my eyes.

Pigsy lets out a sigh. "Listen kid, you didn't fail at anything. Buildings can be rebuilt and it takes a lot to take us down." He said, sounding a bit confident near the end. "Eevee is a tough kid."

"He's right, MK!" Mei shouted happily, bouncing out of Sandy's arms and wrapping her arm around my shoulder.

I let out a small 'mmm' noise, Refusing to look up. "It's all my fault." I mumbled.

One of my drawings of myself, holding the staff with one end resting on the ground and Eevee beside me, came into my view. I took the drawing and looked up at Wukong, who handed it to me.

"No, no it's not." Wukong told me.

"But-"

Wukong shushed me, then continued talking. "It's time for a new lesson."

I quickly took a step back, away from everyone "What!? You can't be serious right now?!" I shouted, keeping my anger bottled up inside as more tears escaped my eyes. "My friend was just dragged into the ground and you want to teach me a new lesson!?"
