Queen of hearts
The princess had a temper just like her mother as her screams were practically non-stop through the night, coupled with her mother's own yelling, the whole castle couldn't sleep. The Queen of Hearts shouted to her servants to figure out what was wrong with her, bottle? no! blankie? no! pacifier? no! were you sick? no! diaper? nope! No one could figure out the child's problem as her little pudgy fists shook with rage, small face red as her toothless mouth open constantly in a cry with her uvula shaking. She absolutely refused to sleep until her needs were met. "Is she swaddled tightly enough?" The Queen of Hearts didn't even have the energy to yell at her husband when he asked this question anymore at this point. "yes" she answered, bags around her red tired eyes, her hair sticking out all over the place. The crying had quieted and the princess was just sniffling and hiccupping, letting out soft noises, still fussing. The king of hearts got onto a stool next to the crib and peered inside at his daughter. She looked up at him through teary eyes, sniffling as you didn't have much energy to cry anymore as your lip quivered. The king took a moment to look around the room, "hmm, Dear, it is a bit dark in here" he commented with caution. It was true, the candle in the room provided very little light.
The queen of hearts looked around in silence and noticed it too, how could the builders have been so blind? the room was huge, dark and intimidating to a little baby, a candle would do nothing for comfort. No wonder she was upset, she was terrified. "I'll be having a word with the carpenters" The Queen of Hearts said before picking her child up in one arm and leaving the room briskly, her husband following.
The Queen had collected everyone who worked on the princess' room and gave them a good loud chastising for how they made the room. "If that room is not ready by the end of the night.........OFF WITH YOUR HEADS!" She shouted, knocking them down with the power of her voice. They quickly got to work on remaking the entire nursery. "I ask for simple things around here and all I have are incompetent staff that doesn't even know how to make a baby's room" The queen sighed as she paced slightly in the throne room while they waited for the new nursery to be ready. "and now, poor Envy, must wait for a proper room to sleep in" She said dramatically.
"Envy?" The King of hearts questioned looking up at his wife, "you named her?" He asked.
"of course I did! She's the most perfect thing in all of wonderland, everyone should envy her life! Therefore, Envy!" The Queen of Hearts stated gesturing at the baby girl in her arm.
Once the new room was finished, The queen quickly walked in to examine it, the carpenters and decorators stood off to the sidelines, trembling and waiting to see if they would live or get their heads chopped off. The Queen of hearts looked over everything closely before a smile came to her face. The carpenters and decorators sighed in relief but it didn't last long when Envy was moved to be put into the crib and started to fuss, huffing and squirming, not wanting to be put into the crib. The queen's face turned bright red, the room was definitely not perfect enough for her daughter if she was still upset. "OOOOOOOOFFFFF WITH YOUR HEADS!" She yelled at the carpenters and decorators until the king of hearts tugged on the skirt of her robe to get her attention. "What?!" She shouted looking down at him before he pointed to Envy. The Queen of Hearts looked down and saw that Envy was gripping onto her mother's sleeve as tightly as her five little fingers could be. The queen couldn't help but smile as Envy's little face got sleepier and sleepier until she passed out, all she wanted was some company to hold her.
Cruella
Weeks have gone by since the baby boy was brought into the De Vil estate, Horace and Jasper had been sent out day after day to search all of London for anyone that could be the baby's mother so they could get rid of him, to trade him in for a ransom of money, but no one stepped forward. The mother was either lost, missing, dead or simply was avoiding her child and meant to leave him in a dirty alleyway in a box. With Horace and Jasper out all the time, no one was really there to watch the baby except Cruella.
