It was sometime in the middle of the night and you couldn't sleep. After the day you had, it kinda made sense. You checked on the boys, who were all asleep, though Sans' rest seemed much more fitful than Wingdings' or Papyrus'. You stayed with him for a bit, trying to ease him out of whatever it was he was dreaming of before moving on to the kitchen to get a glass of water. It had you wondering how much damage was caused to the machine while you went through it all over again in your head. Since you were up, you decided to check that as well and headed down to the basement. The machine loomed ominously above you as you circled around it. For the most part, it looked untouched. You would have to reconnect the propane tanks, though. "How much magic do you require to get the boys home..?" You wondered out loud as you slowly started your task of reconnecting the tanks to the machine. "judging by the size and estimated amount of propane, maybe 360 units of magical power. it would take about five monsters to generate that thing and make a portal home."

You jumped and turned to Sans as he stared back at you. "here, let me help you finish that." He walked over to assist you. "Not to sound rude... but what are you doing up..?" Sans shrugged as he reattached another line. "honestly, i've been up since you came into my room."
"Oh. Sorry..." Sans shrugged for a second time. "nah, it was fine. you were trying to help... you're always trying to help..." You weren't sure what that was supposed to mean, but Sans was already talking before you could ask."i doubt you believed my dad when he told you what he was, but you helped him with this. your soul trait is loyalty, which is a great thing to be and rare too. i'll be honest, i've never met a loyal human before." You were getting more confused by the second. "so it got me wondering if you even were human. i mean, you supplied us with crystals that let us use magic, and while you may not have been aware that they could, i did notice something strange." Sans held out his cyan crystal to you. "take it." You were nervous as to Sans' accusations but decided to trust him.《》
The crystal glowed dark blue as usual. "see there... in the center. your magic is trapped." Sans pointed out, so you looked to see... more of a dark aqua color? "i'm sure the more exposure you have to magic, the easier it would be to free your own. my guess is that you're a mage. either this world has more magic than you know, or you were brought here from another multiverse, [Y/N]. your first clue is whoever gave you these." Sans took his crystal back, leaving you stunned and numb. "H-how did you... w-why tell me now..?" Sans gave you a sympathetic look. Ok, so that was too much at once. "i didn't know until i saw it in your eyes while your parents were over. i am... very perspective, and i could see the aqua glow in your eyes, fueled by your emotions." You wanted to scream. The world you knew was crumbling around you. "S-so... if I talk to the store lady... I could know... where I am from..?" Sans nodded slowly. "it's possible... c'mon, let's get you back to my dad..." Sans helped you up and back to your room to you could cuddle with Dings.
