Walker had pretty much locked himself in the basement once his project started which you thought was great at first, until he didn't come up to eat, sleep, or even use the bathroom. Sure there was a bathroom downstairs but he still needed to eat and sleep and it didn't hurt him to shower and shave either. Did he really think that thing was going to take him to his sons? You highly doubted that they would have appreciated him returning a starved and exhausted mess. So the very next day, you made breakfast, marched downstairs and tried to get him to go upstairs with her. He was a stubborn man though. "Come on Walker! You need to at least eat!" He slammed a fist on the work bench. "I do not need it, I need to get home!" He barked back irritability, messy hair falling into his face. He tried to push it back up, but it fell again. "STARS FUCKING DAMMIT!" He hissed, causing you to back up as he started grumbling about how things weren't working despite his equations being correct. You'd lost him. You were going to have to try something else.

It was day two of Walker functioning without anything. You were thinking of anything you could say or do to get him up here but what could someone do with a crazy man that had tried to kill you before? You didn't want to admit it, but you were afraid that if you pushed him too much, he would try again and succeed. Ultimately you decided to leave him until he couldn't fight you anymore and try and talk to him again when he was awake. You had a bit of an idea on what to say to him, nothing he would listen to now in his irrational state of mind, but you might just have a chance after he rests... for now, you just kept checking up on him, ensuring he hasn't harmed himself in his fits of exhausted rage. This time, a week in, he wasn't in a rage though. It seemed his body gave out on him. With a quiet sigh, you tried to help the tall man up as he leaned into you and stumbled around. "Come on Walker, work with me..." The man mumbled something but getting him upstairs and to bed was easier so you assumed he obliged.

You made him some pb&j for when he woke up and a cup of water to go with. You checked on him hourly, but he was fine, resting peacefully in fact. You couldn't help but admire him when he was like this. Sure his hair was greasy as hell and he had the beginnings of a beard, but it suit him in a rugged sort of way. Now if only he could keep his mouth closed this long, then he'd be a truly pleasant guest. You chuckled at your little musing. It was a day and a half later when you found him with a half eaten sandwich stuffed ever so gracefully into his mouth. "Uh... you finish that, we can talk after." Walker gladly finished his sandwich and downed the water before turning to you. "What happened."
"Your body gave out from fatigue and exhaustion. Look, Walker, I know you wanna get back to your kids, and I want you too as well, but I don't think you want them to see you like this. They'll want their dad to be healthy and well rested when he gets back. So please. Thirty minutes to eat a decent meal, ten to take a shower every other day, and eight hours of sleep." Walker sat silently for a few minutes before sighing. "Fine, I'll do that... but only for my sons."
