This is a mafia Rui AU, a story of two mafia gangs going against one another, you're caught in the crossfire and are dragged down the rabbit hole. Will Rui be your saviour or your biggest mistake?

The long car ride... A bumpy one, it drove for quite a while. But, how would you know? You're asleep.
"Sir, we've arrived." A muscular, tan and scarred man, wearing a suit said, while opening the car door to let you and Rui out.
"Couldn't you have drove even the slightest of bit slower?" Rui sighed at the driver, as he carried you into his home, bridal style.
Should I put her to bed... in my room? Rui thought about it for a while, but by the time he came to a conclusion, he was already, up the stairs and walking over to his master bedroom. He quietly opened the door, being mindful of your, currently, unconscious self and walked towards his bed. He lays you down gently, tucks you in, and kisses you on the forehead. "Rest well, you've been through alot, you deserve a good sleep." Rui looked away sorrowfully and exited the room, catching a glance at you as he left.
*5 hours go by*
You struggle to open your eyes as you're too cozy in a soft, massive and expensive feeling mattress, feels just like home. Wait, home? You spring up to realise you're in an unfamiliar area.
"What... the heck?" You look around in utter confusion and stare at the massive chandelier above you. "Did I get teleported into a wattpad story?" You chuckled to yourself, but then realise the seriousness of the situation at hand. You recollect your thoughts and narrow it down to two thoughts, you could possibly be, in Rui's estate. Or, you're dead and this is what the afterlife is like. You're praying for one answer more than the other.
The door knob starts turning. You panic and search quickly for a weapon to defend yourself with. A lamp... better than nothing. You snatch it and point it towards the door and get into a defensive position, at the ready to charge at the foe and pierce them. Gorgeous and luscious purple hair is the first thing you see, you're dreading it, but you suck it up and put the lamp down.
"Well, that was a friendly greeting." Rui chuckled as he looked at you with endearing eyes. "You're safe here Y/N. Don't worry, I won't hurt you, not again." You feel bad as you see Rui smile with pained eyes. Rui wasn't a bad person. You knew that, but he left you to die. But you didn't, maybe you could forgive him? A memory comes back to you. Megumi Naganohara. It was either your life or Rui's. You've gotten this far. You cannot give up now. But your morality started to flare up. Was it really ok to sacrifice another person's life to save your own? Oh wait, the man you're planning to do that to. Has already done it to you.
"A-are you ok Y/N? You seem quite out of it, was the bed not comfortable?" Rui looked panicked, sweet and utter innocence were pouring out of his actions. You didn't know what to do, you have to play along. You have to convince him. You have to do this. For the sake of your own life. Even if, it hurts to do this.
"I'm fine... I just don't know what I'm doing here." You grab your arm and play coy. Rui fell for it easier than you expected. "Oh! Well, your home renovations aren't finished so I decided to take you here, but don't worry, I would never touch you without your permission. I promise." With his eyes full of pure gold, you affirm him and request clothes to be changed into and to be left alone. "Breakfast will be ready soon, I'm sorry but... you're gonna have to eat with my family. They're... a bit cruel." Rui looked to the ground in shame. "I'll seem a bit different than my usual self. I hope you pay no attention to it." Rui walked off and closed the door behind him. Leaving you alone, you decide to text Kohane what's happening and then shower. After discussing details with Kohane you put your phone on charge and decide to treat yourself by taking a nice, long shower. While you were showering, a female servant walked in and told you that your prepared clothing was on the bed.
It was plain, but formal, a white button up, black trousers and shoes and socks were even provided. You quickly traverse the very large, regal staircase and was escorted to the dining room by a butler. Wow, fancy stuff. You walk into the dining room, the whole atmosphere had shifted. It felt as if you'd walked into a bloody crime scene, an intimidating man with golden hair and golden eyes, the same as Rui... was beating the life out of what looked like an office worker... from what was left of him.
"If you do not get the money you owe us by next week, your child and wife, won't see the light of day."
"Y...ye...s..." the disheveled office worker muttered, as he dragged himself out of the dining room, escorted by also intimidating men.
Rui glanced over, horrified to see you there. Rui looked at you and turned away. It hurt but you were warned beforehand. He looked so different...

He looked as if he had seen it all, like he was used to this. What a tragic place to be brought up.
"Father. No need to filthy your hands. Disgusting, pathetic runts of the litter, don't deserve to even be within your line of sight." Rui remarked as he adjusted his glove.
"You're right. I'm glad you're acting as you should now. You finally matured. Any later and I would've regarded you as an outcast." The man turned around and glared at the 5 people Infront of him. "Who's the one with h/c hair? An outsider?" The man's faced darkened. As he pulled out a pistol and aimed at your head. Dead centre. You've never felt more fear in your life. "They're an acquaintance of mine, they're my comrade." Rui said with a calm demeanor. His father sighed and lowered the gun.
"Let's quickly get breakfast out the way. Shinonome's father and I have a meeting scheduled." You sigh in relief as you sit down at the long table. Next to a little girl. She's quite cute to be frank. Golden hair and eyes just like Rui's father. You're too afraid to speak up, luckily the dishes have arrived. You're served a glorious looking set of pancakes in which you devour. Elegantly to not seem like a pig Infront of a very dangerous man.
You're zoning out for a while when you start eavesdropping on Rui and his Father's conversation.
"I'll have the route changed and block off Naganohara's 3rd supply unit while, 7th and 12th make our deliveries." Rui had a serious look on his face.
"Have it done by the afternoon." His father smirked. It sent shivers down your spine. You decided that maybe eavesdropping on mafia business wasn't a great idea and just mind your own business.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" A high pitched scream is heard coming from the little girl you sat next to and before you knew it, Rui's father pointed the gun at you.
And shot.
