Anger filled my entire soul as Nick was telling me what happened.
N - Charlie, it's okay. They're gonna get suspended.
C - Still! I hate them all so much. I should've stood up for you way before all of this happened.
N - It's not your fault love. And, please, don't worry about me. You already have so much on your shoulders that I don't want you to have this too.
C - Nick... that doesn't mean that you have to keep absolutely everything for yourself. I am still your boyfriend and I'm am still here to listen to you and be there for you.
I held him in my arms, trying not to squeeze him too hard.
N - I know, I'm sorry for not talking to you more and opening up. I just didn't want you to worry.
C - It's okay. But I would rather worry about something that you've talked to me about than something you're hiding from me.
N - I know... Thank you.
C - I love you.
N - I love you too.

The next morning, Nick and I got ready for school as always, only this time, I helped him get his bruise covered. He already had enough attention at school, he didn't need any more.
Once we got to school, in form, the teacher announced that we wouldn't have any class this morning.
Mr. Lange - Listen up gentlemen! Yesterday, some very sad events occurred at the end of the day.
Everyone laid eyes on Nick, since everyone had been talking about it.
Mr. Lange - Whether you have heard of it or not, the principal wants us all to be present to a school meeting this morning. Line up, and be quiet in the halls please. We're heading to the gym right now.
We all stood up as Nick looked at me, worried. I held his hand, letting him know that everything was going to be okay.
Once we were all settled in the gym, we noticed that the girls from Higgs were also there. Everyone went silent as the principal walked in with some woman nobody had seen before.
Principal - Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing amazing, but I am sad to announce that I am not quite feeling good today. After yesterday's events, I have decided that it was important for me to make sure Truham and Higgs are safe places for everyone. The woman walked up to the microphone and introduced herself.
Olivia - Hello everyone! I am glad to meet you all. As your dear principal has mentioned, my name is Olivia Brown and I am a proud bisexual, transgender woman. I know, I know, some of you may be shocked by this opening phrase, but it is my reality. This is who I am and never will I be ashamed of that. I'm mainly here to talk to you about the LGBTQIA+ community and the homophobia that surrounds us. I was 17 years old when I came out as bisexual and 22 years old when I came out as transgender. Those years of my early adulthood were really difficult for me as I was being bullied and harassed by people who wouldn't accept me for who I was. At first, when people would say horrible things to me, I tried to hide myself from the crowd. After several attempts at trying to convince myself that I was someone else, I realized that I couldn't change who I was. My point is, you can't change who you are to please others. You are who you are and nothing is wrong with you. And to all the people on this Earth who have been homophobic before, why do you care so much? You are living your life to its fullest, why would others not be able to do the same? We were all humans at the end of the day.
She paused for a second and cleared her throat.
Olivia - With all of that being said, my name is Olivia Brown and I am a proud bisexual, transgender woman.
The room went silent for a couple of seconds before someone got up. All eyes turned to them.
- My name is Leo Oakley and I am a proud non-binary person.
Nobody said anything until another person stood up.
-My name is Ophelia Fox and I am a proud lesbian woman.
One after the other, people were standing up and presenting themselves.
-My name is Andy Smith and I am a proud transgender man.
-My name is Payton Williams and I am a proud pansexual woman.
I looked over to Nick, gave him a smile, and stood up.
C - My name is Charlie Spring and I am a proud gay man.
Nick looked up at me with admiration and took my hand. He then stood up too.
N - My name is Nicholas Nelson and I am a proud bisexual man.
He looked deeply into my eyes before kissing me. He whispered in my ear.
N - And I am so proud to have you as my boyfriend.
