Chapter 4: Grom

This chapter takes place 2 days before Grom so there was a definite time skip hope this doesn't throw anybody off! Also my order of events takes place at different times from the canon events

~~~Luz~~~

"EDAAAA! Where is Nik!?" I called from the tower, this was probably the hundredth time he has just up and left. "Dunno kid... now let me rest I'm tired..." I just sighed but at that moment it began to rain. "BOILING RAIN!" I was already working on getting back inside with King in my arms when I heard the front door get bashed open. I set King down in my room and while he wanted to come with me I didn't let him. "What was that kid?" I turned around surprised to see Eda. "Well! It wasn't you this time!" I said trying to chuckle but ended up getting a smack to the back of the head. "Ok I kinda deserved that..." I said as I rubbed the back of my head. "Well then who could it have been?" Eda said before a cough could be heard behind us, we spun around and... "NIKITA! Don't scare us like that!" I shouted seeing him leaning against the wall like he usually does, he just chuckled at our shock but that's when the lights went out. "Oh yeah... I forgot I burst through the front door... we should probably put him back..." He said this before putting a hand on the back of his neck and rubbed it. "I'd rather-" Eda began before Hooty cut her off. "HOOT HOOT! Is anyone there!? It's cold! HOOT!" We all just groaned at this. "That voice! That annoying and horrific voice!" Was what King said from inside my room which made me and Nikita chuckle. "Oh calm down King, at least it's not having to clean him again..." Nikita said which made ALL of us shudder. "Oh look! Some mud!" We heard and instantly I was alone upstairs. "HOOTY NO! WE CLEANED YOU 8 HOURS AGO!" Eda and Nikita yelled as more crashing could be heard.

~~~a few hours later in Nikita's POV~~~

At this point I just wanted to slam my head against the freaking wall... Eda began to reprimand me right after Hooty was put back up. I walked up the stair and right at the very top my legs finally gave out from under me and I landed face down on the hardwood floor with a loud annoyed groan only to get a chuckle in response. "Man, if your this tired you won't be able to go to Grom huh?" My ears perked up as I shot straight up. "NO! I CAN GO TO GROM!" Luz began to laugh as Eda snorted from the living room. "Awwww! Does big bro have a crush he wants to ask out~?" I could feel my face go beet red as I stuttered a response "N-No!" Then I had an idea that would probably burn up immediately but would win me this squabble. "A-Are you t-telling me c-cause your p-practicing to t-tell Amity~?" That did it, Eda went quiet and Luz went into her room slamming the door behind her. I thought I saw her blushing so I'm decently sure I won... right?

~~~the next day~~~

"Where's Luz?" Is the first thing I was asked by Willow and Gus before I could even sit down. "She said she didn't feel well, Eda's taking care of her at the moment." I sat down but right as I did the alarms went off. "RADI RADI" I cried out in Russian ((translation from Google will be in the comments I promise)) as I slammed my fists on the table. "CAN I NOT GET A BITE OF MY FOOD WITHOUT SOMETHING-!?" A hand went over my mouth as somebody hushed at me, I found it to be Bump's hand telling me to hush. "A wolf beast is loose in the school... all students are to remain here and stay quiet! The beast has been proven to be hostile!" Before anyone knew what had happened the doors broke down and showed... "a greater basilisk..." I muttered worry in my voice, not for me... but for everyone else... "Everyone! Run for the far exits!" Bump called out as he began to cast a spell circle which ended up being his downfall as the basilisk drained his magic. "NOBODY USE YOUR MAGIC!" I called out before having an idea that I know was probably going to land me in big trouble...

~~~near the end of the day~~~

My eyes slowly opened to reveal a white ceiling speckled with black and gray dots giving it some amount of shade, however that wouldn't help as the ceiling light was directly over my face, I went to shield my face only to grunt loudly in pain... "take it easy you idiot..." For a second I hadn't recognized the voice until I looked over and saw... "Eda!?" I said with a hoarse voice before coughing. "I just said take it easy... you put a toll on your body by fighting the basilisk like that..." I tried to recall what exactly happened, everything was too much of a blur, all I remember was helping everyone out, then shutting the doors between them and me, and then... and then... I just... woke up here...? I just groaned and slammed my head back down on the pillow which was a mistake in my part because of the sheer amount of pain that shot through my head... "oh my Titan... how many times do I have to tell you to take it easy?" Eda said clearly annoyed with my actions, not like I cared that much anyway... "you haven't even gotten to .1% of the way oldie" I said with a forced chuckle before coughing loudly and hardly. "Damn... I guess I really did a number on myself with whatever I did huh...?" I said between coughs still not being able to remember that well... "yeah... you're lucky somebody snuck into the fight and when the basilisk was... rendered unconscious and before you could do anything more took you here..." Well that caught me off guard... "who...?" I replied holding a hand to my throat as I had learned that helped me tone down my coughs. "I think they are a new student I'm not exactly sure..." I only hummed before a nurse came in and told Eda she had to go, she was about to fight but I cleared my throat and gave her a look to which she rolled her eyes and walked out. "Are you two nor-" "no we aren't she's just paranoid bec-" I began before Eda called out from what I assumed was the end of the hallway "I'M NOT PARANOID IDIOT!" I only chuckled before coughing a small bit this time.
