So I had to
Lose so much
To find me,The time was too long yet so soon,
But what would you choose
If you saw your reflectionBleed confusion,
Absorbing every illusion
Until you don't know what you see?Sometimes you have to lose
Everything to find you
Even when losing more is the last thing you want to do.But somewhere along the lines
You'll see that the fight
To surviveWas worth it all;
See every beautiful poisonous thing fall
From your branches and roots,Because the only person guaranteed is you;
I promise you'll feel so blue,
So beaten and bruised,But when the sun rises
You'll say “I survived it,
I had to fight it;”But you've finally pushed through the waves and are on the sand,
Breathe those three words as joyfully as you can:
“There I am.”
