*???'s P.O.V.*

I heard what happened to Atlas, and whoever did it sure knows how to cause destruction. I was on my way to see the actual destruction for myself, but I had to take a bullhead for that. The nearest one was far from where I am. I just decided to go on foot.

It's going to be a long way for me to get there. Eh, what else do I have to do.

*Timeskip brought to you by chibi Skully teaching Team RWBY to shoot better*

I walking through one of the forest, and my legs were killing me. I decided to take a small break from walking. While resting, I heard something coming my way, so I climbed on the tree. Once up, I heard someone talking, or what I thought was a person. They were some heavy armor on themself.

I heard snippets of their conversation.

???: This is the only thing I need to do. Once I find the shard, I'll tell you to open the portal. Do you understand? Good.

I don't know what this guy meant, but I do know that there's something sinister about them. I decided to follow him, but I had to it stealthily.

*Psychopath's P.O.V.*

I was in one of the forests that the shard was located at. I went alone for this one, as having the others coming with me would slow this mission down. Currently, I was "talking" with Watts about the portal.

Watts: How do I know when to open the portal for you?

Psychopath: You'll know when I tell you to.

Watts: Why do I have to do this for you? Don't you already have someone to do this job?

Psychopath: I do, but Striker is keeping a close eye on Ironwood. And you were the only one that was available to help. So shut up about it.

Watts: How on Remnant do you even operate this machine? Also, why are you even there? It's just a small thing to retrieve.

Psychopath: It's not, and this "small thing" is very important for my plan. Plus, this is the only thing that I need to do. Once I find the shard, I'll tell you to open the portal. Do you understand that?

Watts: Yes sir.

Psychopath: Good.

I soon ended that pointless conversation for good. Thank god for that, that crazy scientist is anything but a good conversationist. Anyways, I was searching for a spike in the radar from the shard. While searching for it, I noticed something following me. I checked around the area, and I found a crow on a tree branch.

I didn't find that amusing, so I continued forward. I saw the radar spike up, so I know I was in the right area. I walked to its location, then I saw that same crow was near me again. I wasn't going to pay any attention to it, but I then noticed that there are no other crows here.

This has caught my attention, but I make no indication that I'm aware of it. I continued on, and I soon find the location of the shard. It was located in the center of the forest. I started to punch a hole in the ground, which causes the entire ground to shake. I did for a few minutes, then I feel something in my hand. I pulled it out, and I saw that the shard was there.

I scanned it, and I see that it was the same one I first used back then. I soon put the shard inside my chest. I was about to leave, when I suddenly saw that crow once more. I know its pattern, so I walked away from it. Then....I grab it by its neck.

Psychopath: You almost tricked me there for a second. I'll give you that, but it seems that you're luck has run out. Show me who you really are.

The crow didn't do anything, so I squeezed its neck more. Then, I saw that its wings were hitting my hand. That's not how a crow escapes, this isn't no ordinary crow. I then throw it to the ground.
