THE BATTLE OF EVERCLEAR

sitting in his chair " everclear pack are in need of our assistance " Logan declared " we need all our men" he said " alpha what's the status of the situation " one asked " glad you asked Robert " alpha rickson is at war with red moon pack it seems they believe their land belongs to them and had been causing grief" Logan said Cyrus began laying out battle plans " if we ask crystal pack to help since they owe us a few favours then we will need them and I have no doubt that they will say yes" his beta spoke " so this is the plan if we take them from the east then we can converge from the forefront however I'm sure the king would want to do this the rightful way" Cyrus said looking at the king " yes the right way would be the best thing but in this case no since both packs have declared war it's in our best interest to ensure that this never happens again even if it means we fight" he said sighing.

" Robert, I trust your men are ready?" The king said Robert nodded." Yes, my king, my warriors are ready when you are," the young warrior said proudly.

Logan was overlooking the map. " What if we move from the east to the west they we never see us coming?" he suggested Cyrus smiled smugly. " suprise attack?" Logan nodded.

Logan calls his men and other men in neighbouring packs to join in this fight while most of the mates disagreed with the king the men felt it was an honour to fight beside him this war between the packs has gone on for too long and it was enough.

As the men rallied they said their goodbyes to their mates and fond farewell to their families Athena ran up to logan " be careful and came back to me" she said hugging him " always luna you own my heart " he says he tucks a strand of hair behind her ear " you are in charge luna make sure they listen to you if they don't use the alpha decree on them" Athena gulped making her mate chuckle " I'll come home soon I promise love" he whispers softly.

Other mates are crying when little Ophelia runs upto her father " daddy please don't go" she says crying it made Athena tear up " young pup your dad is going to be a hero " she says " luna I will miss him ever so much " the young girl says " I understand " she says looking at her mate " you and Cyrus be safe or you'll deal with lilly " she says logan holds her few moments more.

" walk with me" he says logan takes her to the lake  and the stand together " athena i won't lie this is some scary shit and i may get hurt but i will win this war for you and for this pack it's my duty as my king and your alpha" he tells her " i just want you safe logan and home in once piece along with our pack members " she says trying not to cry " alpha" cyrus called out logan nodded kissing his mate hard and deep with a promise and a reminder of who she belongs to he whispers in her ear.

Cyrus comes over and speak with sister " ill gaurd him with my life and I'll make damn sure we all come home I have a wife and son now a sister to get home too " he says to her " you got this luna" he says nudging her " hey you tamed the lycan king you can rule in his place luna athena" he jokes " smart ass" his sister says " there's that smile" he laughs.

Logan stood on the podium and said a speech about leading the men to war and how at this time it was a sad time to do so but he will make damn sure that everyone in this pack and others return or die trying the pack cheered and then he told them that luna Athena and gamma Luke were acting on his behalf.

People yelled well wishes and good luck athena had a worried look on her face she felt her stomach turn a feeling she's never experienced ever " they will be okay luna" the gamma said she nodded.

As she watched the men, she wondered what the days would be like.

But the war had only just begun.
