I can't sleep and I'm sitting on my bed wide awake. I can hear the waves crashing lightly from my room and I decide to sneak out to stay out on the beach. As I edge closer to the waters, I feel a tug and a pull to find Nari's figure sitting on the shore. Hesitantly, I walk over to her and she looks up before patting the spot next to her for me to sit down. "Sorry about Sohee earlier," I apologise as she only shakes her head with a smile.
"It's alright," she whispers. "I'm used to it by now."
I think the second half was only supposed to be for herself but I feel unease tugging at my heart. "Look, Nari. I don't want to hurt you but I don't want to hurt Sohee either."
"Jungwon, follow your own heart. No one is there to decide for you besides from yourself. Even if we aren't together, I want us to be friends at the very least," she advises.
I don't know if she knows but all her feelings, I can feel them too. Her sorrow and pain but also her pushing it all down. I don't know what comes over me but I hug her tightly and she freezes before relaxing. We stay like this for a while and I never want to let her go. "No matter who you choose in the end, I'm here with you," she whispers.
--- Kim Nari POV
It's finally time for all our schedules to start up again as the boys begin practicing and I head back to the hospital. "Doctor Kim!" Nurse Chung calls for me as I turn to face her. "Doctor Jung wants to see you in his office."
I knock on Doctor Jung's door as he welcomes me in. "Is there something wrong?" I ask curiously.
"As you have been away for a while, you may not know this but Doctor Eun-chae got stomach cancer. The surgery is extremely difficult and she has requested only for you to be able to work on her," he explains the situation. "I just don't know if you are prepared to work on a patient with relations to yourself."
I can feel the tears brimming in my eyes. "What stage cancer is she at already?"
"Stage 4, this is why the surgery will be very difficult."
"I will do it. If she trusts me so much, I will do it. She is my mentor and it's time for me to return the favour."

These past few days, I have been staying in the hospital to look over several cases of surgery. "Doctor Kim! Patient 675 has woken from their coma," Nurse Moon enters my office with a knock.
I pull on my white coat from my seat and we hurry down the passages to reach room 675 to find the elderly man, Mr Kim Hyun-cho. "Hello Mr Kim, I am your doctor, Kim Nari. How are you feeling right now?"
I follow through with the usual procedure to check up with patients and he seems perfectly fine. "Mr Kim, please sign this consent form for one last check-up to see if there are any more problems. Otherwise, you will be discharged 3-4 days after the scan," I pass him a consent form with a beaming smile as he happily takes it and signs.
"Doctor Kim, the patient's family is asking to see him," Nurse Moon comes in to tell me as I tell her to let them in.
Several people walk in but the one that shocks me the most is the last. "Taehyung?"
"Hey, Kimmy. Long time now see!" he smiles and ruffles my hair. "How's halabeoji?"
"He's been doing pretty well but we still need to do one last scan to make sure there's nothing wrong. The car crash shouldn't have done much besides from the coma, but we need to make sure."
"Always the smart one. How come you haven't dropped by me and the rest of the boys yet?" he pouts.
Taehyung has always been like my older brother like the rest of the BTS members. They took care of me when eomma passed. "You guys literally just got back from tour," I sigh as we hug. "I'm still working, Tae."
"Alright, alright, but drop in on us soon."

"You found your soulmate and decided not to tell us!" Yoongi comes over to tickle me on the couch as we all watch Shark Tale.
"S-sorry," I manage to breathe out between laughs.
"Don't tickle our sister to death," Hoseok chuckles. "But I am offended. Who is he?"
"Yang Jungwon from Enhypen but he found his 'soulmate' months before and they've been together for a several months now."
"He can't just leave you like this!" Jungkook says angrily.
"But he also can't break up with his 'soulmate' just because his actual soulmate shows up. That's just wrong," I retort.
"Nari is still more mature than you," Namjoon scolds Jungkook before he can say anything else.
"But he still shouldn't push you away," Jimin inputs.
"I think we're both just trying to find time to sort our feelings out. After all, imagine how confused you'd be if your 'soulmate' turns out not to be your soulmate."
The boys nod in understanding and we continue focusing on the movie for the rest of the night.
