--- Ha-eun POV
Ow, everything hurts like hell. I can feel my eyes shut closed as the pain wracks through my body. "Ha-eun-ah, it's going to be alright. I need you to relax for me," I hear Rei's nurse voice as my eyes open to barely make out my friend's form.
"Ha-eun, I'm here to. There isn't any big problem, hold this," Nari's voice joins her as a warm hand slips into mine.
The pain instantly eases slightly and a satisfied groan comes out of my mouth and some else's. My eyes flash open to see Sunghoon staring back at me on his side but as we flinch from each other, the pain hits me like an avalanche again. "C'mon guys, you need to be close if you want the pain to die away," Nari tuts.
"He and I aren't-" I mutter but I cut myself off as Sunghoon suddenly pulls me into a hug and warmth spreads out through me, the pain slowly, really slowly, going away.
I can hear the chuckles from our friends, deeper voices suggesting that probably the other Enhypen members are here. The door shuts and it's now just me and Sunghoon. As much as everything feels weird, I embrace the warmth and ease the pain.

--- Yang Jungwon POV
"Aww, those two are so cute together," Nari and Rei fangirl through the door's glass as they watch Sunghoon and Ha-eun lie together.
I pull Nari into me as I hug her from behind and whisper, "Like you and me."
My soulmate blushes up as I continue, "I owe you another date."
"Geez, stop with the PDA, get a room," Rei wrinkles her nose at us teasingly.
"They already did," Niki cheekily comments as Rei shouts, "What!"
"Uh-oh, seems like you're in trouble," I chuckle as Nari shrinks into me as Rei excitedly bounces around.
"I want to kn-" Rei starts before Nari leaps out of my arms and smothers Rei's mouth.
"Later. Right now we need to focus on Ha-eun and Sunghoon."
"What's wrong with those two? Is it something about their soulmate bond?" Sunoo queries as Nari sighs with a nod.
"It's been around a month now and they still haven't been in a minimum close proximity with each other. For budding soulmates, they need to be able to be within reach of each other otherwise they'll experience an overload of pain like those two did," she explains knowledgeably.
She keeps making me fall for her over and over again. Jungwon! Don't be so selfish, worry about the other two too. "How long until they get better?" Heeseung asks as Jake and Jay peer into the room.
"The pain will go in a day if they stay together but they also need to be around each other for about a month otherwise this will start happening in a cycle again."
"As of now, we just need to convince those two to stay together," Rei concludes.
Easier said than done.

I stare out the window, my fingertips absent-mindedly trailing my soulmate mark out of habit. Dammit, I should really stop this. He thought he deserved better, and you do too. What's the chance of you two running into each other? One in a billion, right?
"Team leader!" Seojun knocks on the door before stepping in. "We can start moving now."
"Let's go," I sigh as I push myself off the window and walk out with him and the team.
I was your light, and you were my darkness. They weren't ever meant to go hand-in-hand. It's time I move on.
