Kile's POV
I saw someone with a rebel uniform run in the hallway, so I chased after.
"HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE!" I yelled.
After running a labyrinth of hallways, I finally caught up to him. I tackled him to the ground, but not before he pulled out his gun.
We wrestled and he pointed at me, but I struggled and pointed it back at him and pulled the trigger. I shot him in the leg. Still holding the gun, I stood up and looked at the rebel. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and very fair skin.
Eadlyn's parents must have heard the gunshot because they came running down the hallway with a few guards.
"Bring him to the dungeon. He will get questioned later," Maxon said.
Eadlyn came walking/running down the hallway.
"Kile! I'm so glad you're okay. I thought when I heard the gunshot that y-y-you were.... you were-" and she started crying and hugged me.
"It's okay, Eadlyn. I'm fine," I assured her.
"I thought I would never be able to talk to you again. You scared me so much."
"Let's go back to our room. I just need to relax for a bit. I planned something amazing for our anniversary," I said to Eadlyn.
"Okay," she replied.
We walked, holding hands, back to our rooms.
I opened the door and let her go in first. I closed the door and kissed her.
"Let's go watch some TV," I said.
"Sure," she agreed.
I turned on the tv and The Vampire Diaries was on. I knew she was in love with me because her eyes weren't wide and she didn't gush over Ian Somerhalder, like most girls.
*Cough* me. *cough*
After the episode was over, it was time for her surprise.
"Eadlyn, we should go to the ball room now."
"Wait, Kile. I have to give you something."
"Eadlyn, you know you don't have to. You've given me quite enough," I said.
"Oh shush," she said.
She went into one of her drawers and pulled out something in wrapping paper. She walked over and handed it to me.
I opened it, and under neath the wrapping paper was a plane ticket.
"I know you've always wanted to travel, so I got us plane tickets to Rome. We can always travel to other places in Europe when we got there, but I figured you might like Rome first because of all the architecture there."
"Oh, Eadlyn. Thank you so much. You didn't have to. Are you coming with?"
"Yes, I have my plane ticket in one of my drawers in my dresser. It's scheduled in 5 months, so the baby will be born by then. She will stay at the palace, and my parents will watch her," she responded.
"Thank you again. It really means so much to me," I said as I kissed her cheek. "Let's go head down to the ballroom."
"Why," she asked.
"It's a surprised," I said, smirking.
When we got there, she gasped. Confetti canons shot our way.
The room was covered in flowers. There were red, orange, yellow, pink, purple, blue, and basically any color you could think of on the walls.
"This is breathtaking," she said.
"But wait, there's more," I said as I led her to a window. Fireworks were bursting in the air. One was the shape of a heart. Another had our initials with an arrow.
"It's beautiful."
"Im glad you like it," I responded.
After the fireworks were over, we danced the rest of the night until we couldn't feel our feet.
I carried Eadlyn to our room, and we feel asleep as soon as our bodies touched the mattress. I smiled in my sleep, thinking about how great the day was.
