Guys I can't believe we're here! It's been a crazy emotional ride for me as this particular book is close to my heart. The song up top is Faithfully by Journey.... Enjoy!

Grace's POV:

"Ashe I really wish you would stop kicking up a fuss! We're just going to a BBQ at the Wolves' compound." I huff out and try to swat at her but she neatly dodges it and shakes her head at me. She didn't speak but hummed and continued applying a fresh eyeliner to my eyes. It's been two months since Ty's fight and things have since smoothed out. News had spread that thanks to an anonymous tip the fighting ring had been shut down, permanently and Ford Harrison had been arrested for numerous charges, racketeering being among them. Ty who'd still been tense and on edge finally fully relaxed and even began to smile and laugh more. I even managed to get him to go to church with me once. He'd grumbled about it at first but he'd done it for me when he found out how important it had been to me.

Ashe even began to warm up to him and the idea of us being together when he started acting strangely. He avoided my calls sometimes and even started acting secretively around me. I wanted to continue to believe that he still loved me but I couldn't stop the sinking feeling that something was very wrong. Perhaps he was starting to grow bored and no longer wanted to be with me. It was an intrusive thought and I did my best to banish it and all insecurities I once had but that nagging little voice persisted that something was wrong. After several long minutes Ashe finally stepped back and announced she was finally done. "I laid some clothes out for--" I scowl in her direction and shake my head furiously at her. No, absolutely not. "I'm not some damned Barbie doll you can dress up any time you want, Ashe. I can pick out my own clothes."

My words were harsh but my tone had been mild enough to remove the sting of them as I finally got up. And walked to my closet. When Ashe had made me sit down I'd made her tell me what color of eyeshadow she put on me. When she'd told me blue I decided on a blue V necked t shirt and skinny jeans and a pair of boots that Adria had given me. It hadn't really surprised me that we wore the same sized shoe. Ashe huffed behind me and said. "I just don't get why you won't wear a skirt, Grace. It's sure to be another hot day and you need to say cool." I come out of my closet and quickly dress before pulling my hair back in a loose side braid and tie a matching folded bandana I'd stolen from Ty around my head and completed it with my usual sunglasses. "I don't like wearing skirts, Ashe, you know this so you may as well give up on the idea." She sighs and mutters something about going to get dressed.

I hate that disheartened tone she used but Adria was right, it's time I stopped bowing to Ashe's whims and put my foot down about certain things. The make up, while I still grumbled about it, I allowed as I couldn't see to put it on myself. I grab my cane and my sunglasses and head downstairs to wait. Fifteen minutes later Ashe comes down and we leave. When we left I made sure to tell her the address since I couldn't be hundred percent sure on directing her from our house. We chat lightly on the way there and for some reason I feel nervous, I get the sense that Ashe knew something I didn't and it drove me crazy not knowing what it was. I didn't handle secrets very well. When we arrive I roll down my window and smile at whoever is manning the gate. We're quickly admitted and we go down the long drive way and I hear Ashe mutter from beside me. "You would think they were hiding POTUS here. I smile and chuckle but don't say anything as we drive up to the main building of the compound.

Whoever was at the gate must have told them we'd arrived because my door was opened as soon as we parked and I reached for my seatbelt. "There you are, been waiting for you to get here." I smile at the impatience in Ty's tone and kiss his cheek in return. "It wouldn't have killed you to wait on me every now and then." He growls at my double entendre and mutters 'brat' under his breath causing me to laugh, even when he gives my backside a sharp smack for it. I wink at him and move to walk away but he grabs me and pulls me in the opposite direction. Ashe follows behind us and I can practically hear her eyes roll. When we reach the BBQ Adria is the first to meet us and I introduce Ashe to her. The party is in full swing and everyone greets us with hugs and some of the more cheekier brothers even manage to kiss my cheek before Ty growls and tugs me away from them. In the months since I got to know the men and women here I've become much more relaxed around them and even began to see them as a type of family.
