His cackles were as loud as the wails of a banshee, a maniacle tone that resembled that of a villain, evil radiated in every bit of sound that came from the laugh, like it was trying to say something, a warning maybe, or a threat,

Xavier couldn't help feel scared, everything about the laugh brought up an emotion of unexplainable and petrifying fear, like this shadow of a man was coming for him and it knew exactly where to find him, like it could see how terrified he was and it fueled it's humor, Making the cackles louder and louder and... LOUDER...

"No" Xavier briskly sat up from the stretcher he had been lying in, "where am I" he called, "hey, calm down honey, it's me" Rachel said brushing his arm to try and calm him, "how did I get here?" Xavier said, "you must have passed out on your way out, you had me really scared" Rachel answered leaving her seat,

"you and me both Rachel" Xavier looked around to be met by the ghost in a leather jacket leaning on one of the cabinets in the Sheriff's station medical room, hand on his furrowed brows,

"you're sweating, a lot" Rachel said, "im okay" Xavier said standing up, "hey take it easy" Rachel tried to hold him up,

"im okay mom" Xavier tried to master up the best smile he could to hide how afraid he was, "just as stubborn as your dad" Rachel politely smiled, "I need to go check on something in my office, stay here" she said pulling up a chair for Xavier then she made her way out of the medical attendance room,

Xavier peaked through the door as soon as his mother walked out only to see her trying to calm down a middle aged woman with hazelnut brown hair crying into her hands,

"she's been gone for three days" the woman cried, "she said she was going to some party but she never came back",

"im very sorry ma'am but i need you to calm down so you can tell me what i need to help you find your daughter, can you do that for me" Rachel said leading the woman to a bench,

"what happened to you out there" Nate asked pulling Xavier's attention back to the room they were in, "I..." Nate interrupted him, "wait___why is your heart beating so loud" Nate sniffed, "you're scared, why" Nate said, a tear escaping Xavier's eye,

"hey hey, what's wrong" Nate pulled him into a warm embrace, more tears landing on the back of his shirt,
"I... I don't know what it is but something real bad is going on, real scarry too and I think you knew" Xavier sniffled, "what" Nate slowly pulled back,
"you said the forest was corrupted, i felt it, i still can and i think whoever killed you did it because they were trying to shut you up" Xavier said brushing away his tears,

"that...", Nate stopped, bright red eyes quickly flashing through his eyes, "would make sense" he continued, "but i dont remember any of it",

"is there anyone you may have told, a friend maybe" Xavier asked,

"there's only one person I can think of right now___",

"hey, who are you talking to" Deputy Hall said as she walked into the room, "would you believe me If I said I was talking to myself" Xavier said as Hall stared at him like she suspected something, "well my grandpa used to talk to himself but he had old age as an excuse, what's yours" Hall said, "lone...liness" Xavier looked away, "huh, i buy it, let's go your mom asked me to call you" Hall said then they both walked out headed towards the Sheriff's office,
