Neither Y/N nor Yeonjun came to their training for the next week.
Personal reasons, I was told.
I was jealous. Of course I was. Yeonjun could be there for her in ways I never could be. I can't hold her in public, touch her skin, hold her hands, play with her hair, kiss her perfect lips and have her to myself.
No. I couldn't even look at her with love in my eyes for the risk of the media catching on.
Her father had died. I knew that. Yeonjun had told me as he asked for me to cover their absence.
And my pity went to her. Of course she doesn't want to be alone.
But why with him? I could find a way to sneak into her house, to cuddle her asleep, to be there for her.
I could buy her anything to cheer her up.
But I suppose that wasn't what she wanted. She wanted genuine affection and feelings, not the materialism rich brought upon and the facade of love by buying gifts and fancy dates. I learnt that much.
Her eyes fell in love with me on the cliff watching the stars, not in the restaurant.
Whilst in these moments, Yeonjun would be able to touch her, and perhaps, make her love him-
No, Beomgyu, she loves you. It'll be fine.
When she finally came back a little over a month later, I whisked her away into a closed dance practice room, as I gave her a hug.
"It'll be okay, Y/N, you're strong."
That was all it took for her to break down into tears as I struggled and stammered as I tried to make it stop, but then she just laughed softly, and without humour.
"I'm so glad you're in my life, Gyu, even if this all feels so surreal. I'm sorry I can't be perfect for you right now." Y/N said, as I shook my head, kissing her on the top of her hair.
"You're always perfect for me."
She just sobbed softly, holding my hands as she leaned up to kiss me on the lips.
"I love you Gyu."
"I love you, Y/N."
My buzzing phone interrupted our euphoria, as I sighed, walking off, leaving her standing there red-eyed and blush-stricken.
"Yes? Really? Okay, thank you."
I turned to Y/N, taking in a deep breath.
"I have news.."
