"Before I dismiss you for the day," Chun-ho said, "I need to divide you into groups... Amongst your groups, you will appoint one team leader." He quickly started calling names for each group. "Group One: Number 4, Number 8, Number 9, Number 16, Number 19, and Number 24." Yu-jeong, So-chul, So-yun, Yeong-shin, Sun-yi, and Jun-hi grouped together.

"What an odd arrangement of numbers," (Y/n) mumbled.

"Group Two: Number 12, Number 13, Number 20, Number 21, and Number 23," Chun-ho continued. Yeon-ju pouted at In-hye, walking over to Tae-man, Hui-rak, Jang-su, and So-yeon together. "Group Three: Number 1, Number 2, Number 3, Number 5, Number 6, and Number 18." If it weren't for the fact Yeong-hun and Il-ha were avoiding one another entirely, (Y/n) was sure there would be conflict that Yeong-su, In-hye, Deok-jung, and Chi-yeol would be incapable of resolving. In-hye awkwardly approached the boys. "Group 4: Four Number 7, Number 11, Number 14, Number 15, Number 17, and Number 22." Chun-ho then lowered his clipboard. Bo-ra's lips turned down into a frown as Ae-seol walked behind (Y/n) and Na-ra to join her, Ha-na, and Wu-taek. "Make sure to remember who's in your group!" Chun-ho called as the discussion over who got to be the leader for each group began. Group 4 was the only one that was full of members who didn't want to be the leader. One instructor was assigned per group to make sure a leader actually got assigned.

"Ha-na's not responsible enough, glad that's out of the way," Bo-ra began. Ha-na sent her an offended look but did not protest as she had no plans of being the leader in the first place. "And I don't want to do it."

"I'm out of the running, too," Wu-taek said, joining the other two girls on the bleachers.

"Sit down, No Ae," Bo-ra said bluntly.

"You don't have to be mean," Na-ra frowned. Either way, Ae-seol did not wish to be a leader (Na-ra and (Y/n) knew this, too), so she quickly sat down. The last two girls standing gazed at one another. Out of everyone in the class, Na-ra and (Y/n) weren't the best leaders, but for their group, they most certainly were.

"Well, good luck, Na-ra," (Y/n) said, nodding to said girl. "You'll do great."

"I think you're supposed to put more thought into who you want as your leader..." Hae-jun spoke up. "Most influential, best speaker, showing the most progress..." He trailed off, waiting expectantly for someone to volunteer. Half of the group was looking away with disinterest, Ae-seol was avoiding eye contact, and (Y/n) and Na-ra actually considered who would be the best leader in the group. Wu-taek and Ha-na already looked like they wished they were elsewhere; Ae-seol wasn't bad at the training, but she didn't have much of a voice either; Na-ra most definitely was doing the best in the training; Bo-ra had the presence of a leader, but she did not have the spirit of one; And of the group, (Y/n) was the most likely to just do all the work for the others by herself, insisting she didn't need their help and that she could do it herself. "Hey, come on, guys. Select a leader together, or I'll do it for you."

"Go ahead," Bo-ra challenged. Wu-taek let out a sigh.

"(Y/n)'s good at explaining things," Wu-taek said. "We'll at least know what we're supposed to be doing if she's the group leader."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you basing that off of?" (Y/n) protested.

"You helped me pass Chemistry last year," Wu-taek shrugged.

"You've also got a brother in the military, so you know the terms better than we do," Bo-ra added matter-of-factly.

"Na-ra does—" (Y/n) began.

"Na-ra is in agreement with them," Na-ra said, patting (Y/n)'s back.

"You're only in agreement because you're the other candidate," (Y/n) frowned.
