Chapter Thirteen.

Of the four running girls (Sun-yi, Bo-ra, (Y/n), and Ha-na), none of them were in the right state of mind. They were all hysteric over the loss of their teacher as well as the unfamiliar sight of Cells. (Y/n) and Bo-ra's hands remained intertwined and they were actually looking for somewhere to take cover. Sun-yi and Ha-na were terrified of the dead bodies they were coming across. There seemed to be even more bodies in the area they had turned down in comparison to where they had originally come across Cells.

"What the hell is all this?" Bo-ra cried.

"Bo-ra!" Ha-na cried, scared out of her mind to be at the back of the group of girls. From behind, a Cell's tentacle shot out and caught Ha-na's ankle, making her trip onto the ground. The other three girls stopped in their tracks and whipped around.

"Yu Ha-na!" Bo-ra shouted. The Cell prepared to launch itself at Ha-na, who screamed for her life. (Y/n) hastily got her gun off her and ran forward, slamming the butt of the gun down onto the tentacle. This resulted in the Cell shrieking and releasing Ha-na's ankle. As its tentacle retreated, it grabbed hold of (Y/n)'s gun and, due to the girl not having quick enough reflexes to release the gun, as the Cell pulled on it, (Y/n) was dragged to her knees. She stared in horror as the Cell started crawling toward her at great speeds.

"Stay still or get shot!" a voice bellowed. (Y/n) didn't hesitate to oblige and a mere moment later, the air above her was filled with the ashes of the exploded Cell. Ja-yun moved forward, pointing her gun around to make sure there were no more Cells. "You girls need to gather your wits! All right?" The girls stared wordlessly at her. (Y/n) crawled over to her gun, which had slid off to the side. Drawn to the area by the screams and gunshots, a Cell climbed on the ceiling of one of the corridors. Nobody noticed it until it landed on Ja-yun and crawled around her body.
Horror crossed the girl's face as the Cell severed Ja-yun's arm at the elbow, resulting in it and the gun falling to the ground. Blood from the wound splattered across a stunned Ha-na's face. The girls all screamed as Ja-yun was pierced from behind by the Cell, splattering Ha-na with more blood. Ha-na flew to her feet and ran to the nearest car, bumping shoulders with Bo-ra and Sun-yi in the process. Ja-yun's corpse fell forward. Sun-yi ran to the car, frantically trying to get into the backseat. She pounded on the glass and shrieked at Ha-na to let her in.

"(Y/n)!" Bo-ra shouted as (Y/n) cried out and held her hand up to shield her face as the Cell lunged at her. She wished she had gotten off the ground sooner. Bo-ra looked frantically between the car and (Y/n). If she had the opportunity to save (Y/n), they would need to run immediately.

"Hey, Yu Ha-na! Open the door!" Sun-yi wailed. (Y/n) shrieked and managed to grab her gun and slip it between her hand and the Cell. She held the gun in the air, using it as a means to keep the Cell from biting her face off.

"Fuck it." Bo-ra ran to help. She grabbed one end of the gun in an act of pure adrenaline. "Let go!" (Y/n) hesitated a bit, but she finally let go of the gun and Bo-ra flung the gun and the Cell away. Bo-ra yanked (Y/n) to her feet right as the Cell came back for more. It, perhaps, would have been a good thing to grab the loaded gun, but Bo-ra wasn't sure she would have the time and after the Cell was thrown, it was now in their path to retrieve the gun. Given that Sun-yi's attempts to get Ha-na to unlock the door were useless, the girls didn't stop running. (Y/n) grabbed Sun-yi's hand and they fled from the area, just narrowly missing the Cell as it launched into the air. It missed and landed on the car, pulling a terrified scream from Ha-na as the Cell tried to puncture the glass with its tentacles. It jumped off the car and onto a lamppost, heading after the other three girls.

The kids in the parking garage ran for cover. So-yeon and Wu-taek ducked behind a van together, Yeong-su hid behind some boxes against the wall, and Jang-su ducked down behind another car. So-yeon frantically hit Wu-taek, horrified at the sight of mutilated corpses in the garage.
