What on earth Simon?

It has been a week since  August and I had this weird conversation. I wondered what the fuck is going on between us? Wille was constantly looking at us intently, trying to solve the puzzle. His cousin on the other hand was shooting thunderbolts every single time Sara and Wille made any kind of contact with each other. It started to bother me too. I get that they are friends, but sometimes they act a little too friendly in my opinion. I know I should have talked to them about it, I just...couldn't find the right moment. This would probably bite me in the ass soon. Like hiding stuff has ever turned out well before. We're gonna talk. I promised myself.

We were sitting in front of the table all together. My sister and Wille were gossiping about something, as always, while my mum was trying to not burn the kitchen with August's assistance. Yeah, about that...

-Could you pass me the salt? She asked the boy, while he was mixing ingredients on the pot.

-Sure, Ms. Ericksson. He smiled, lightly, without looking at her.

-Ah! Don't you ever call me that again! Or I swear I will burn your bacon on purpose. My mum almost hit his back with her spatula, trying to make the point.

-I thought it was carcinogenic. August finally faced her with his typical smirk on his face.

Actually, it's not that typical. It's almost the same expression that he used in practically every single situation, but it feels like it lacks something.

-Stop acting like you know more than a nurse. My mum teased him, which made the boy chuckle. See? Chuckle! Argh!

-Wille, sunshine, can you help us with this, please? Mi mamá asked him with this sweet tone of her voice.

They were probably gonna make some pancakes, waffles, and maybe toast.

-Yeah, sure thing. He agreed politely, and he was just about to stand up and leave his chair when suddenly we both caught something alarming.

Wille's cell was lying on the table, and Sara had this mischievous look on her face. We both knew she was up to something.

-Hey, don't look at my phone! He warned her.

My sister's eyes grew bigger, and she did her pout, looking cute and innocent, but it was far from the truth.

-I wasn't going to! She raised her hands defensively.

-Oh, of course. The blonde boy teased her, putting his hands on his hips.

-Simon, would you like to come to see our game today? Rosh asked me while the rest of the group was busy making the meal.

-What? I blinked.

-Are you going to the game or not, asshole?

-Hmm, yeah sure. We're going, right? I said louder, so my ''boyfriend'' could hear me.

-Yes! He clicked his fingers.

-How are things with The Prince? All good, huh? My friend mocked me.

-Yeah, all good, Rosh. I sighed.

-I doubt it. Ayub whispered behind my neck.

-Ok, see you at the match! Love you! Rosh said while she was packing her things.

When we were at school, Wille completely ditched me to hang out with Sara and Felice. They were sitting at the library, throwing some papers at each other. I was thinking that maybe I should join them, but then one of the last people I wanted to see at that moment appeared by my side.

-What's up curly-head? August brushed my hair.

-Nothing that should concern you. I answered a little bitterly.

-Is this about our chat the other day? He asked openly.

-Yep, you guessed right. I bit my lip and turned my head slightly from him.

-Oh, come on man! He shook his head, his voice was full of this so-called optimism.

Then I felt his touch on my arm. It was weird, gentle almost. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay in this sensation any longer.

-August what are you doing? Leave him alone. He doesn't wanna talk to you. Said, Wille, who was still sitting at the table with my sister and his best friend. The tone of his voice was concerned, but there was still something relatively calm about it.

-Well, funny enough I'm not the only one. His cousin replied, doing his smirk, and looking slightly up at him.

Then my boyfriend gave him one of the looks, that made us both have chills spreading slowly all over our bodies, starting from the tip of our toes.

August left us alone, at least for a while so I could think.

I came closer to the golden boy. He wrapped his hands around my hips, and gently pulled me onto him so I could give him a kiss.

-Hi baby!

-Hi! I smiled right in front of his face which was literally glowing like a sun.

-Do you wanna eat lunch with us here? He asked, doing these small circles on my hip bone.

-Nah, at first I need to go outiside for a while, but I will be back in a minute. Ok?

-Ok. He put his lips on mine, one last time before I headed outside.

I know that fresh air can be actually beneficial when you want to clear your mind. Wille does it all the time. I was walking around the school, when suddenly I saw him again, and something broke in me.

I began to walk, with fury radiating from me like a ball of lighting.

-What's up with you now? He asked, smirking at me.

-Tell me what you want from me, cos I have no idea what you exp...

I was pulled towards him like a magnet, like there was this magnetic force between us, when our lips touched I was completely lost in it, although it still felt wrong, so,so wrong...

-What the hell? I heard a voice from the back of my head. The voice that I love to hear, but this time it would be the last thing I would pray to hear.

-Wille... I began with total resignation. For the first couple of seconds, I was oddly relaxed. I knew that he was the one who kissed me. I've never made any move towards him.

-No, what on earth Simon? The blonde boy asked again, pinching his eyebrow.

-Will...

-I don't wanna see your face ever again! I mean it! He said firmly, pointing at the older boy, with so many emotions going on, on his face, that it was hard to name a single one.

The boy sat on the ground, hiding his face in his hands.

-Are you satisfied now? How could you do that, August? What the fuck? Tell, me what the fuck is wrong with you? I asked him, being just slightly above him.

-Everything! Everything is wrong with me Simon! I...

It happened so fast...

Suddenly I saw that my sister was running towards us, or well, him. She kneeled down enough, so she could embrace him.

-What happened? She asked, giving me a single look too.

-I kissed your brother that's what happened. August blurted.

-You did what? Sara raised her voice and stood up immediately.

-Sara, please! Please don't leave me! The boy sobbed like a kid.

-You're a bastard you know that? She accused him, turned on her heel, and went back to school, probably searching for Wille.

I was left alone with August, light breeze was touching my cheeks. I had no idea what to do next. So I just sat there, next to the boy who was a child in pain again.

It took minutes or hours, I don't even know. We were just sitting here, coming in peace with all of this quietness, and all of these thoughts running through our heads until the very last tear dried.

It was time to break the silence.

And let me tell you this now, these words are gonna change the trajectory of my life.
