—POTIONS CLASS WITH SLUGHORN WAS HORRIBLE. Ares and Draco's potions were better than everyone else's, but Slughorn ignored Ares like the plague and merely complimented Draco instead of giving him house points. However, for Harry Potter, he would give house points and compliment him and even use his potion as an example to the whole class.
Since when was Harry Potter good at potions, anyway?
Ares bit the inside of his cheek and looked away from the boy, focusing on his potion in front of him instead.
He crushed the ingredient and put it inside the potion.
Draco was looking at the potions book, going back to the cauldron in front of him every once in a while.

Ares skipped the rest of his classes for the day. If he was being honest, he did not care about his grades and school at all anymore. That might've been sudden, but it was gradually happening.
At first, it was skipping a lesson a week. Now, however, he was skipping the rest of the day.
He decided to do something else; something worthy of his time— fix the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement.
He found it fairly quickly the first time he started searching for it in the crowded and huge room, filled with objects.
He took off the cloak that was on the cabinet and coughed when the dust filled his nose. He waved a hand from side to side, trying to get rid of the dust, and pulled out his wand. He pointed it at the cabinet and murmured, "Harmonia Nectere Passus."
Nothing happened.
Ares clenched his jaw and tried again. "Harmonia Nectere Passus."
Nothing happened again.
He pursed his lips and tried one more time. "Harmonia Nectere Passus."
This time, a 'click' was heard.
He straightened up and said again, "Harmonia Nectere Passus."
Another click.
He was fixing it. Finally. After weeks of trying.

"Who won the quidditch game?" asked Blaise that night on the couch in the common room.
Pansy answered, "Slytherin. We're having a huge party. Even the Gryffindors are invited."
"I reckon it's because they just want to rub it in their faces that they won," added Daphne with a small grin.
"Where's Draco?" Theo asked, noticing the boy's absence. He turned to Ares in question.
Ares shrugged. "Off trying to kill Dumbledore, I reckon." He replied nonchalantly.
"Shh." Blaise hushed him with widened eyes. "Someone's going to hear you."
"Nobody's here. They're all in bed," pointed out Pansy, waving a hand in a dismissive manner. "The party's tomorrow night in the Room of Requirement. We're planning on making the room turn into a party room. Are you going to join, Ares?"
Ares shrugged again. "I dunno. I'll think about it."
"I heard Potter will be there," whispered Theo in a hushed voice so that only Ares could hear.
Ares tensed immediately, his head snapping to the side to look at the boy. He stared at him in disbelief. "Why would I care—"
"Just saying," said Theo quickly, looking away. "Sorry."
Ares rolled his eyes and shook his head.
