Hey guys, sorry for the late update! I've tried to make this chapter longer because you had to wait so long. Anyways, there's a picture of Mack (Nina Dobrev) for you! I hope you enjoy this chapter. I also have some news, so please read the author's note at the end of the chapter!!! Thank you guys so much!
"Okay, first thing's first, we need that jacket. Are you sure that you still have it, Dani?" Callie asks. We were all settled into her room, with Mack and Dani on Callie's bed, Callie in her desk chair, and myself on the floor.
"Positive. I haven't touched that thing since the day it went into my closet," Dani confirms.
"Alright, well, we still have the biggest problem of all," I point out.
"Yeah, seriously, how do you plan on planting a serious piece of evidence like that on Haylee without anybody noticing?" Dani asks.
"It's not that hard," Callie starts, only to be interrupted by all three of us voicing our doubts.
"You can't do it at school, there are cameras everywhere," Mack states.
"And you can't just slip something that heavy into her purse on the streets," Dani adds.
"There's a good chance that whoever plants it is going to leave their DNA on it," I say. Even though the plan was my idea, I was starting to have my doubts.
"Shut up, guys! If you would just let me talk, you would get the answer to all of these questions," Callie yells eventually.
"Okay, fine. Spill, you two. What's this genius plan?" Mack growls.
"Okay, just remember, this has to be executed perfectly. One mistake can leave us being arrested for this murder, got it?" Callie starts. We all nod, and she continues. "Good. Now, here's what we're going to do."

"Hello?" The voice came from the middle aged, blonde haired woman answering the door. The woman stood tall and proud in a dress and some heels, and if Callie hadn't already told me her age, I wouldn't have clue that she was actually s old as she is.
"Hey, Mrs. Sparks. Is Haylee home?" Callie asks.
"I don't think she is, actually. You'll have to try her another time. Thanks for stopping bye though, Callie. I've missed seeing your face around here," Haylee's mom responds. And yet, despite the warm smile and cheerful voice, I couldn't quite bring myself to believe that she was actually happy to see Callie. In fact, the dark look in her eyes made me think the exact opposite.
"Oh, okay. Thanks, Mrs. Sparks," Callie mumbles. Both of us turn around, disappointed, but Callie whips back around before we even take a step. "Actually, I'm sorry, I just really need to pee, and it's a long ways back into town. Do you mind if I use your restroom real quick?" she asks. I look at her in shock; she's going along with the plan even though Haylee isn't here.
"Of course, Sweetie. You remember where it is, right?" Mrs. Sparks asks with another fake smile.
"Yup. Be right back," Callie says, darting into the house.
"I will just go wait in the car, I mumble, starting to walk away.
"Oh, nonsense! We can wait right inside here. I would love the opportunity to get to know you," Haylee's mom says, pulling me into her house. I glanced around in awe as she closed the door. My house wasn't small by any means, but this house put my house and every single house that I had been in before to shame. It was huge, and filled perfectly with expensive looking furniture, antiques, and other decorations. Mrs. Sparks sat on a small bench that they had in their entrance hall and motioned for me to sit next to her.
"So, you're the new girl, right? Blaire? Where did you move here from, again?" She immediately begins shooting off questions, not even waiting for me to be fully seated.
"Um, yeah. I just moved here from Colorado," I state, looking around nervously. It's not often that I lose my cool, but with Callie planting evidence on this woman's daughter as we speak, I couldn't hide the fact that I wanted to be anywhere but there.
"How's that transition been?" she asked earnestly, not seeming to notice how uncomfortable I am.
"It's been alright, I mumbled, not knowing what else to say.
"Oh, honey, don't hold back. I know you're dating that boy, Dillon. And you seem to have befriended Callie, so my guess is you've gotten pretty popular since you started school. Were you popular back in Colorado?"
"Yeah, actually. I guess you could say I was the Callie of my old school," I said, trying not to elaborate on anything more than necessary. Luckily, Callie popped back into the hall right then with a smile.
"Thank you SO much, Mrs. Sparks," she enthused, and I gave her a quick, dirty look.
"We better get going," I say, shooting to my feet.
"You guys are more than welcome to stay and wait for Haylee," Mrs. Sparks offered.
"That's very sweet, but really, we have to go. I don't even remember why we stopped by, do you?" I said a little too fast, looking at Callie with panic in my eyes. She mouthed 'calm down,' before turning to Mrs. Sparks, cool as a cucumber.
"We just came to ask if she had a homework assignment that my friend forgot to write down, is all. But she just texted me saying she got the assignment from another classmate, so we're all good. It really was nice seeing you again, Mrs. Sparks. I've missed you since all of that...stuff happened," Callie said so genuinely, I almost believed her.
"Oh, Honey, it was nice seeing you too," Mrs. Sparks exclaimed, but that dark look was back in her eyes. I had the feeling that if this woman had the chance, she would love to get Callie thrown in jail with Dillon for the "murder" that we just framed her daughter for.
"So, did you do it?" I whispered as we scurried back to her car.
"Yup, the jacket is in her purse," Callie said once we got in her car.
"She didn't have it with her?" I asked, slightly shocked.
"She's always had the worst habit of forgetting it at home," Callie stated.
"What do we do now?" I continued to whisper, even though we were pulling away from the house with windows up and music playing.
"Now, we wait."
