CHAPTER 10: DINNER

I walked over to the dinner table and sat myself down still trying to settle my nerves. I was pretty pleased with myself pulling out the “Nando’s card” to make an A+ first impression on the boys. You know what they say, ‘the way to win a man’s heart is through their stomach!’. It already felt like they had accepted me but I was scared that one stupid thing I would say or do would ruin it all in just seconds. 

“Holly, why don’t you come sit with me!” Liam said as he leaned towards me tugging at my dress. His puppy dog brown eyes twinkled as I stood up from my seat and made my way over to him. I looked towards the kitchen and found Zayn and Louis messing around, play fighting while Harry was cooking dinner, trying his best to avoid their banter. 

“Loueh! Va are you doen?!” 

Lou screeched and rammed into Zayn’s stomach, bumping into Harry.

“AHH!” Harry yelled, swiftly catching the pot’s handle before it fell onto the ground.

The look on the boys’ faces were priceless:

Not impressed, Harry gave them a stern look, raising his eyebrows and tilting his head to the side letting them know he wasn’t in the mood for playing games.

“How can I master this taco mince with all these disruptions! I can’t work in these conditions!! Boys, stop it or get out of my kicthen!” Harry said, eyeing them.

Lou put his arm around Zayn and both nodded innocently in agreement:

I shook my head and smiled to myself as I joined Liam on the other side of the dinner table. He was fiddling with the jar of nuts in front of him with slight amusement in his eyes.

“Hey Liam!” I said smiling,

“Ello!” he replied still a tad concentrated on the nuts,

I poked the jar and giggled, “Liam.. what are you doing?”

“Playing with nuts!” he said, completely oblivious to the words that just came out of his mouth that anyone could have easily taken the wrong way.

I bursted out laughing and covered my mouth, avoiding eye contact with him in case it would make me laugh even harder.

Liam grinned as he realised what I found so funny, “You young lady, have a perverted mind!”

I shrugged, “What can I say?”

We both turned our heads to the kitchen as we heard squeals and slaps, “Loueh! Stop!” … “No!” .. “Loueh!!!!!”, the two boys that were meant to be the oldest of the group once again were messing around in Harry’s kitchen:

“I bet you’re a proud girlfriend right now.” Liam joked as he turned back to me,

“Well lucky for me we’re not dating just yet!” I said giggling,

“OOH YES! PISTACHIO NUTS!” Niall interrupted, grabbing the jar of nuts from Liam’s grip and joining us at the table.

“So what’re we talking bout?” he asked as he looked up while happily munching on the nuts,
