CHAPTER 10: Syrup Village, Part 4- New Companions

Narrator POV

"Because that guy is, unfortunately, my GOD DAMN BROTHER!!"

After hearing these words, Shoya and Luffy started at the Marine Captain. They both said, together, "Now that you mention it...you two look exactly the same!"

"Yes, because we are twins. NOW GET LOST!" Shiro said.

"Hey! That's no way to talk!" Luffy protested.

"Why? Didn't you just say you're a pirate? And that kid told me he's one, too, so there's no reason for me to talk to you nicely!"

Luffy said, "Why you..."

"Leave it, Luffy-niisan. He's pretty powerful. If we don't fight him, that's a better choice anyway because we would just be wasting time. There's no reason for us to fight either of them, is there?"

"There is! A big one! The butt-ler over there and his crew are gonna attack the village, kill Kaya, Usopp's friend, and take her money and stuff! And right now, a hypnotist on his crew is chasing down the little guys we met earlier, along with Kaya, because they are helping her escape!" Luffy said.

Shoya replied, "But see, Luffy-niisan, if we don't fight the Kuro guy, and let Mr. Marine fight him, then that would mean we would have time to beat up Kuro's crew, help Kaya, and after that escape, too! The Kaya person owns a ship, doesn't she?"

"But-" Luffy tried to protest but was cut off by Shoya, "Let's just go. Where's Zoro-niisan, Usopp-niisan, and Nami-neesan?"

"Usopp is chasing down the hypnotist right now. He's in the forest. Zoro...either sleeping or maybe he's already fighting, who knows. Nami I dunno. Probably stealing some stuff." Luffy replied.

Shoya said, "Well, you go beat Kuro's crew first of all, and stay there while I'll go search for Nami-neesan, get her to you, then go search for Usopp-niisan and in the end Zoro-niisan. Till then all the fights should be over, I guess. And after that we're gonna run at top speed. The Marine Captain guy also came with a ship full of marines."

"Alright! Well, all I understood was that I'm gonna beat up Kuro's crew right now"

"It's a good thing you understood atleast that much" mumbled Shoya

"But they ran away, so I don't know where they are right now" Luffy said, scratching the back of his head.

"...Just run along the shore I guess, you should be able to find a ship anchored to the beach without getting lost"

Luffy POV

I was running along the shore as Shoya told me to, and then I spotted a ship anchored there. I yelled "ALRIGHT, YOU DUMBASSES! I'M HERE TO BEAT YOU ALL UP!"

"Oi, pipe down, Luffy I'm trying to sleep here. First those pirates and now you, everyone's just gotta disturb my sleep, goddamn it."

"Zoro! Get up, we gotta fight these guys!"

"I'm not deaf, you don't need to shout, you know."

"Oi, Zoro, get up!!"

"I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME, SO SHUT UP, YOU IDIOT!!" Zoro yelled in anger. He continued, "Why do we gotta fight them, anyway?"

"Cuz, uh, right! They're here to attack the town, kill Kaya, the owner of the big mansion inside, and then steal her money and stuff from her"

"Why do they gotta kill to steal?"

"Don't ask me."

"Yeah, of course. My bad, idiot Captain."

"HEY!"
