(Alex's POV)
Okay, I got everything ready, we're ready for the plan. I start packing up my shit as I watch the TV. It plays a commercial for school safety.
TV: "There's a supervillain on your school campus. You hear the calls of distress. You witness a violent display of superpowers. What do you do? I'm Sheriff Ed Flanagan, and I'm here with Homelander to talk about school safety."
Homelander: "On the first report of an active supervillain, a hero will immediately rush to your campus. But to stay alive in the moment, remember, stay calm, and follow the law. Lock all doors and windows. Arm yourselves. Your teacher should have an authorized firearm. But use whatever you can, and wait for a hero."
I'm sorry, did they just say that the teachers should have FIREARMS at school?! Are they for real?! Yeah, great for a shooter to get more easier access to a fucken gun and shoot up the place?! Do they forget that school shootings still happen, right? Not every bad guy has superpowers!
Homelander: "Unfortunately, the possibility that you will experience a supervillain attack grows more likely every day. But by having an action plan, you can dramatically increase your chances of survival. And survival is all that matters."
Just then it talks about how the fucken president is bypassing the FD and authorizing Compound V for use by law enforcement and first responders. Meaning...meaning what exactly? That the police can now have superpowers, and the bad cops make life WORSE for the people that they target?! How is this shit even allowed?! They're selling this shit like it's fucken opiom! This isn't good at all. We need to do this plan like, right now. I went back to packing my shit when I heard banging coming from the door. I looked over at it and scanned to see...Becca? What the hell is she doing here? And how did she know where to find me? I ran over to the door and opened it. She looked at me shocked, but also grateful.
Becca: "Thank god. I was thinking you weren't here at first."
I looked at her confused. Her heart was racing and it was clear that she had been crying. What happened and...and where is Ryan? Did Butcher send her here?
Alex: "Did Butcher send you?"
She shook her head and cried some more.
Becca: "T-They took...They took him!"
What? Who took who? Did someone kidnap Butcher?
Alex: "What?"
Becca: "Homelander and Stormfront, they took Ryan!"
I looked at her shocked and worried. I understand Homelander wouldn't hurt his kid. He seems to care too much for Ryan to do that. But Stormfront...I don't know about her. After Butcher told me that she was Liberty, and I did more digging to find out that bitch is a fucken Nazi...I don't trust her around the kid.
Alex: "Okay. Come in, come in."
I moved out of the way and she walked into the warehouse. I closed the door. She looked around confused.
Becca: "You going somewhere?"
Alex: "Yeah, A-Train's fast enough for my plan, and we need to do it now before shit gets worse."
She looked over at me.
Becca; "Were you heading to Butcher's?"
I nodded my head. Now that I have everything all in one place, I can finally tell the others my plan.
Becca: "Good...take me with you please."
I smiled and nodded my head. I texted A-Train to meet us at the hideout where the boys were at. And she helped me pack the rest of my shit and we left. Keeping out of sight of any cameras. Vought's probably looking for Becca to lock her back up in that compound to keep their secret hidden, while I don't need Homelander spotting me.
