All There Is To Know About Werewolves

EXPLANATION:

The rankings are what divide the pack into three different groups:
- Higher rankings
- Middle rankings
- Lower Rankings

The rankings divine different positions in the pack and how important they are. However, keep in mind, no matter how high the ranking is (such as Alpha or Beta) the lower rankings can sometimes be most important to the pack. Yes, it is the pack's duty to protect the Alpha, Luna and their pups, but it is the Alpha's duty to protect the pup and ensure that peace is kept.

Now I shall briefly explain to you what rankings are like in normal packs in hopes of explaining to you the duty of the different positions and the ranks they are in. So some might have seen this on pinterest. It's a photo of a pack of wolves traveling and an explanation of everything. Now why am I gonna use this?

Simple: When I first started doing more research on werewolves for my books, I found this picture and it came in very handy to me. It helped me see more to the responsibilities each individual wolf holds.

There are 25 in total. At the front are 3 wolves that are either sick or old. They help keep the traveling pace of the pack. Behind them are 5 other wolves. They are the strongest and most skilled that have to keep an eye out at the front for any possible attack that could take place.

In the middle are 11 wolves. They are protected from any attack and are usually those that aren't as strong or skilled as the other's. The 5 behind them ar, once again, the stronger wolves that have to keep an eye out for those in the middle, just like the stronger wolves in the front.

Then, at the very back, is the leader. The Alpha. He makes sure no one is left behind and keeps an eye out on the entire pack. He also makes sure the pack goes in the correct direction and is ready to attack any possible threat from any direction.

Now, what exactly are the different ranking's jobs?

The higher rankings are the stronger members of the pack with more responsibility. They are usually those that make sure the pack is kept safe and in control. They help the pack in all ways they can and would go as far as risking their lives to protect the pack.

The middle rankings have quite the important responsibility too, believe it or not. Without them, the pack would starve and go bonkers. They mostly keep an eye out on all the resources and the health of the fellow pack members.

The lower rankings are usually the younger members or the teachers of the pack. They too have an important role. These members determine the future of the pack OR they are simply not part of the pack as a whole or in any kind of way.
