“Hyung, no more shots.” Yoongi watched as Namjoon snatched the glass out of his hand, a strict look swept across his gaze. “Yah! Brat.” Yoongi spat sarcastically, crossing his arms. “You’re going to be too drunk to walk home if you keep drinking!” Namjoon spoke.
Yoongi rolled his eyes, “Fine. Just one last shot.” He snatched the glass back from Namjoon, chugging the soju in it. They stayed silent for a while, until Namjoon decided to speak up, “About your friend...” Yoongi turned his head in his direction, glaring at the younger man with wide eyes, “Hm?” He hummed.
“I was wondering since I first saw him... does he have eating problems?” Yoongi almost choked on his own saliva – what was Namjoon going on about? “Eating problems?” Yoongi repeated, his eyebrows furrowed. Namjoon leaned his palm on his cheek, “To be honest, I only suspected it since he’s unusually skinny.”
“Well, I don’t know? I’ve only eaten out with him once and he ate like a normal person... I don’t know what to tell you, Namjoon. I barely know the kid.” Yoongi explained, shrugging. “Hm? Kid?” Yoongi hadn’t even realized he’d referred to him as kid – he mentally cursed at himself for referring to him so rudely. “Oh... I didn’t mean to say that.”
“Do you like him?” Yoongi felt his face heat up, “No! Namjoon-ah, I’ve already told you plenty of times!” he scolded lightly. He sighed, “Why do you even think that?” he asked the younger. “You’re... different around him. And the way you look at him... there’s actually some kind of spark in your eyes.”
Yoongi looked down, fiddling with the hem of his sleeves. He tried to avoid Yoongi at Namjoon so he wouldn’t see his visibly flushed face. “Well, I don’t like him as more than a friend. I just find him intriguing, is all.”
Namjoon didn’t look convinced but said no more. Instead, he poured the remains of the soju into his own glass, drinking it before getting up from the table. “Let’s go.” Yoongi’s eyes widened, “Already?” Namjoon glared down at him with furrowed eyebrows, a rather confused look forming on his face, “We’ve been here for a few hours. It’s pitch dark outside. Plus, you need to get home before you indulge in more alcohol.” He pulled Yoongi up from his chair, practically pushing him toward the exit.

“Take care, hyung! Don’t drink anymore tonight.” Namjoon told him as they stood by the entrance to Yoongi’s apartment. ”Get home safely, brat!” he said in response, turning around to walk inside his home.
As he shut the door behind him, he stretched his arms out, a big yawn escaping him. He had drunk way more than he could tolerate, and he was feeling pretty worn out from being drunk. As he trudged through his apartment, he reached his living room, eyes locking on the piano that hadn’t been played on for a few days. It stood there as dust gathered on the wide range of keys, dim moonlight lighting the top.
As he carefully made his way toward the piano, he thought about how it’d taken him to save up for it. He’d worked multiple part time jobs just to get by on rent and food, while trying to save up for an expensive, high-quality piano. He was relieved when he finally got it, as he could go back to just working as a pianist instead of fumbling between three jobs.
He sat down on the stool in front of the piano, the leather squeaking as he got comfortable. He let out a long sigh as he glared down at the dusty keys, gently running a finger over a C. He looked at his fingertip, carefully blowing the dust off.
He sat there, slouched over in the weak moonlight coming through the window behind the piano. He thought about his performance with Jimin at the bar today, feeling his heart beginning to flutter as he recalled the pleasant memory. His anxiety had easily melted away during the performance as he’d taken in Jimin’s sweet, high voice, almost forgetting he had been performing right next to a large group of people.
