Jimin asked himself; why did he agree to have lunch with Yoongi today? He had a bowl of oatmeal today; he shouldn’t be eating lunch. He was faced with something as simple as an onigiri – unfortunately containing rice, which had a lot of carbohydrates, exactly what Jimin liked to stay away from. He regretted eating oatmeal for breakfast so much – and he hadn’t had time to get it out since he had a performance that morning.
Yoongi was sitting across from him, unwrapping the store-bought onigiri. Jimin couldn’t even watch as he bit into the rice and seaweed, unable to imagine that inside of his own body. He gained weight so easily – no way eating a whole one wouldn’t contribute to a higher number on the scale. He’d already eaten too much.
It was only when Yoongi eyed him strangely that Jimin felt cornered – he had no choice but to pick up the onigiri and pull the wrapper off, met with compressed rice.
He reminded himself, Yoongi was going to get suspicious if he didn’t just eat it like a normal person, so Jimin took a deep breath, before placing the onigiri by his lips. He took a bite – a rather large one, and just chewed. Chewed for a short time until swallowing.
A harsh wave of hunger struck him – the oatmeal hadn’t filled him up for long, and the effects of having gone over 24 hours without eating the day before hitting him. He ate it fast – too fast, finishing before Yoongi could finish his own.
Once he was sitting there, realizing that there was no more left of the onigiri, guilt struck him like lightning. He had succumbed to his temptations.
Jimin felt sick, suddenly. The rice felt like a brick in his stomach, and he had no control over himself as he got up, intending on heading toward the bathroom. Yoongi shot him a confused glance as Jimin opened his mouth to speak, “I-I have to go to the restroom.” He told him, trying to hide the franticness in his voice as best as possible.
He didn’t hesitate as he turned around, storming off to the restrooms. The stalls seemed to all be empty, but he didn’t bother checking properly before running inside one of the stalls, hunching over an open toilet bowl.
He lifted two fingers, bringing them to the back of his throat. He felt disgusting; fingertips meeting the slimy walls of his throat as puke painfully started rising through his esophagus. Removing his fingers, the contents of his stomach ended in the toilet bowl.
It hurt so bad every time he did it – it didn’t get easier the more he did it. It was exhausting – having to force food out almost every time he ate. He thought, had he gotten it all out? He didn’t feel empty – he should do the procedure a second time.
Shakily, he was about to lift his fingers, when he heard light footsteps behind him. He knew what to expect – a random stranger catching him in the act. Shamefully, Jimin turned his head, completely freezing in shock.
Yoongi stood there, shock swept all over his gaze as he stared at Jimin, eyes wide. Jimin was just as shocked as him – what was Yoongi doing there?
Jimin didn’t know what to do. They didn’t say a word to each other, and Jimin was certain there was no way away from this situation. Yoongi knew everything, now. Jimin felt absolutely disgusting.
Without muttering a single word, he pushed his way past Yoongi and ran out of the place, praying that Yoongi wasn’t following him. He doubted it.
Could he ever face Yoongi again after that?
-
Yoongi couldn’t move. The smell of vomit ran up his nostrils as he started coming to his senses, piecing everything together like a puzzle. A second ago, he had seen Jimin slump over the toilet bowl as he vomited his guts out. He had heard it when he entered the bathroom.
