Thursday, November 1st
The next morning I woke up early and had a pounding headache. I sat up in bed and looked down at my outfit. I was still in what I wore to the party. Everything immediately clicked and I jumped up. I scurried to my closet and grabbed a new outfit. I hurried to my bathroom, took a shower, and got ready. I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs. I didn't do my homework to the best of my ability, but I didn't care. I had a good night, and my dad didn't find out.
"Hey, Dad!"
"How was your homework last night?"
"It was good. Pretty easy," I lied sitting down at the counter. "How was your date?"
"She was good. Her name's Mariane and she's so nice. Wish you could have met her,"
"Oh, that's a shame. It would have been nice to meet her,"
"Well. You ready to get to school?"
I mumbled a yes, and we both headed outside. I jumped in the car. And stared outside the window. My dad was completely clueless about last night, and I was grateful. If he found out that I had gotten slightly drunk or that a boy kissed me, he would be pissed out of his mind, and I did not want that at all.
Once we got to school, I jumped out, told him goodbye, and then ran off to High School. I ran up to my locker and began packing my things up when Billy walked up to me. His hair was perfectly done, and he had a cigarette between his lips.
"Where'd you go last night?" he asked, towering over me and removing the cigarette.
"I left early, and went home? Is that a problem?" I questioned, trying not to attack him, but also wanting to attack him.
"You should've told me. I could've taken you home. So who'd you go home with?"
"What are you asking? Are you my protection now?" I asked, waving toward Billy's face in a joking manner.
I wasn't expecting him to grab my wrist. He gripped it tightly and I just stared at him. He stared me down and pulled me close to him.
"Can you let go?"
"You should've checked with me,"
"Can you let go? You're hurting me,"
"Do you understand? You should've checked with me before you left. So I didn't go around like a crazy person looking for you. You don't ever do that, got it,"
"Billy. Let go of me. You're hurting me," I whimpered, trying to jerk away from Billy.
Billy let go of my wrist and walked off. I stood there, a bit surprised by what he had done. I turned around and slowly opened my locker once again. I didn't know what to think. I was in the clouds when Jonathan broke the silence.
"Hey, saw you at the party last night. Did you have fun?" Jonathan asked, walking up to me.
I shut my locker and looked at him. He was a quiet person, and I would like to get to know him because he just seemed like a good friend.
"I mean. It wasn't that fun. But it was okay," I sighed, looking down at my feet, before looking back at Jonathan.
"Wanna get to physics early?"
"Sure,"
Jonathan and I started to make our way to physics. I tried to steer clear of Tommy and Carol, trying to take the boy's advice. He seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing, and who to hang out with.
I was bored in the first few classes and began sketching on extra papers I had lying around. Once I was done with my first few classes, I headed back to my locker and was putting things up, when the boy walked up to me.
