Sunday, November 4th
I blinked my eyes open and almost forgot I wasn't in my bed but in Steve's. I sat up and looked around. Steve wasn't in bed, which made me relax, but he wasn't in the room. I slowly got out of Steve's bed and walked around his room. It was bright outside and the rain had gone away. The door opened and I spun around to see Steve. I grabbed the edges of his shirt and pulled it down, forgetting that I was wearing his boxers.
"Morning,"
"Morning Sunglasses,"
"Your clothes are dry and the bathroom's free," Steve mumbled, holding up my clothes, and looking at the ground.
I walked over to him and snatched the clothes from his hands. I headed down the hallway and towards the restroom. I changed into my clothes and looked at myself in the mirror. I headed back to Steve's room and opened the door to see Steve shirtless.
"Holy shit...I'm so sorry- I didn't mean to," I stuttered, shutting the door.
I put my back to the door, and let out a huff. I had seen Billy shirtless, but he was wearing a jacket. Steve was just shirtless. Full on shirtless. The door opened and I spun around. Steve looked at me, and I felt my cheeks turn hot. He was wearing his gray bomber jacket from yesterday, jeans, Converse, and a dark shirt. He was literally a copy-and-paste machine with his clothes. It was like that's all he had in his closet.
"Umm. Is there a plan for today? Because I need to tell my dad and Becky and Zoe that I won't be home today or see them today," I answered, slightly flustered.
"Uh, yeah. Dustin called a little early and said we needed to get some cow meat or food or somethin'. So if you don't mind, we need to drop by the store,"
"Yeah. Sure, I just need something to eat," I muttered.
Steve headed downstairs like nothing had happened. I followed him, and I waited at the bottom of the stairs for him. Steve had disappeared, and then he reappeared with a bagel in his mouth and another bagel in his hand in a paper towel. His mom followed him out of the kitchen and looked up at me. He pulled the bagel from his mouth out with his free hand and turned around.
"Mom, I-We have to go. Now," Steve grumbled, before swallowing his bite.
"I love you, Stevie, you two have a good day. And Stevie play nice,"
"Mom..." Steve grumbled, shoving the bagel back into his mouth before grabbing and dragging me outside.
He turned to me and then handed me the un-eaten bagel. I looked at it in slight disgust and then looked back up at Steve. "Food. You said you were hungry," Steve answered my confused look.
I rolled my eyes and took a bite. The bagel wasn't half bad, but it wasn't great either. I headed over to the passenger's side and got in. Steve got in the car and backed up.
"So. Bagels for breakfast?" I asked.
"I always eat them before school. Super easy and good," Steve answered. "No work required,"
"So are we going talk about what just happened? Or are we just going to forget about it?" I questioned.
"I mean. It was an accident, so what?"
"So what? I saw you shirtless! Do you not care?" I snapped, shocked by Steve's answer.
"I mean. There have been a bunch of people who have seen me shirtless. So no, not really," Steve shrugged.
My jaw dropped and I stared at Steve. He didn't care if I saw him shirtless. I sat back in my seat and finished the bagel. "Ummm... What happened last night?"
