The moon was invisible behind dark, unwelcoming clouds that rolled with thunder and cried a monsoon. Strong winds were thankfully absent, allowing all performers to dwell in darkness and silence. A heavy head fell upon a pure white pillow of silk. His eyes heavy, he gazed up at the white ceiling of his bedroom. The curtains had been drawn shut. His household fell quiet. His sister was asleep, the sounds of her friends resuming conversation over the phone resumed, yet Tsukasa did not wish to listen to the muffled blurbs of noise. His throat felt like a desert. With each breath he took, his sides grew heavier. The basic practice of breathing became nearly impossible, leaving the performer breathing rapidly. The sweet, nostalgic melody of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star rung in his ears through a pair of wired earbuds. He clutched his shirt over his palpitating heart, feeling his body begin to tremble. Accursed thoughts of inferiority flooded his mind. His mind fixated immensely on what he could not do.
His chin wrinkled, his lower lip quivering as he caved to the feeling of loneliness. Tsukasa buried his face into the backs of his wrists, sobbing into his hands as his only support outlet. In his mind, he begged and pleaded to be loved. Tsukasa's cries escalated, although he forced himself to be silent. If he woke Saki up, he'd never forgive himself.
